Happy December! I'm welcoming this month with a fresh mindset. I'm currently reading Power to Change by , and I absolutely LOVE his wisdom of QUIT TRYING and START TRAINING for the life you want.

🎉🎉🔥Here's a quote from the book:

"We are going to change. We are going to achieve our goals through training, not trying. What’s the difference? To try is to attempt to do the right thing by exerting effort in the moment. To train is to commit to developing strategic habits that equip you to do the right thing in the moment.

Here’s one more definition of training that should be helpful: training is doing today what you can do today so that you can do tomorrow what you can’t do today."

Be mindful of your thoughts. They can be life giving or life draining. You decide!

It's always YOU vs. YOU 💙 And you can bet on YOU.

We’ve all allowed the fear of failure to influence our decisions. We’ve allowed this fear to stop us from trying new things or taking risks. We all have smaller lives than we could because we’re too concerned with what others think.

Rejecting the fear of failure is one of the greatest things you can do for your future!"

If you’re feeling overwhelmed about kids and voting and teaching them everything, don’t worry we got you covered! ​​​​​​​​​For Children Enrolled in Preschool and Elementary School:​​​​​​​​​🗳️The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) Kids provides age-appropriate activities for young voters by incorporating reading, math, sorting skills, and so much more.
🗳️Kids Voting USA offers printable puzzles, coloring sheets, short stories, and more.
🗳️The local library is a great place to visit for tons of educational resources for all ages.

For Teens Enrolled in Middle to High School:
🗳️Orlando’s Orange County Supervisor of Election office offers resources and activities just for teens explaining the importance of election, exercising their right to vote, and creating policies they wish to see implemented in their communities.
🗳️Educators and administrators can request speakers and class presentations to support teens as they learn more about their civic duties.
🗳️From driving to legal matters, we can equip our children with all the tools needed to be successful at fulfilling their civic responsibilities.

Voting is a powerful act that shapes our communities and country. By bringing children to the polls and teaching them about civic engagement, we empower the next generation of voters. Kids and voting go hand-in-hand. Discussing issues that impact society and modeling thoughtful voting teaches kids to be active, engaged citizens. Equip them with age-appropriate resources to understand the election process. Their future votes will be informed by memories made at your side. This November, show kids that the civic duties we carry out today build the democracy they will inherit tomorrow.

EDIT: THANK YOU for cheering for me. I will always be a leader who shares her "ladder" as she becomes successful. No here, only love & support ❤️

So here's what I'm doing to grow in this season of life:

1️⃣ Putting myself out there, even if I'm not certain of the outcome. The "worst" outcome is NO. Some people will hate, others will cheer for you.

2️⃣ Being bold in my choices & knowledge. I know what I know and don't stress about other things.

3️⃣ Asking for more help. Referrals, Lunch Dates, Mentors, Feedback, Free Coaching, Books, etc. Most people are kind and willing to share something they know.

4️⃣ Being aware of what I need and making it happen. Burnout is real, and you (should) always keep promises to yourself.

5️⃣ Believing it's possible, even if my faith & fear are battling! FOR WITH GOD, nothing is impossible. Luke 1:37 ❤️
