The U.S. Copyright Office has made it clear that AI-generated content can't be registered under a copyright. There's much debate on the topic, which is anything but clear-cut.

INSIGHTS ON CONTENT: Giving Seniors the Tools and Support to Embrace Technology
by Michelle Fitzhugh-Craig
[B]ecause I am a proud member of the 60-plus club and have an intimate relationship with technology, I am constantly being asked by my peers how I am so comfortable with computers, the internet, social media, and more. Too many tell me that they can't jump on the tech train because they are too old. I quickly correct them, saying, "No, the issue is that you're too afraid."

Because I am a proud member of the 60-plus club and have an intimate relationship with technology, I am constantly being asked by my peers how I am so comfortable with computers, the internet, social media, and more.

AI and Copyright: Steering Around the Iceberg
by George H. Pike

Like any work that contains the "modicum of creativity" that is necessary for it to be entitled to copyright protection, the copyright in [my latest] work was established at the moment the work was created. But an extra step is often needed to ensure that a copyrighted work gets full legal protection: registering it with the U.S. Copyright Office.

Long before the proliferation of AI and the beginning of the AI legal debate, there have been on and off discussions in Congress and among policymakers of a need to reform the U.S. Copyright Act.

INSIGHTS ON CONTENT: Internet Safety Basics: Keeping Cyber Thieves at Bay
by Michelle Fitzhugh-Craig

There used to be a time when being safe online only meant making sure kids stayed away from sites that were inappropriate for their age. Now, we need to make sure that what is shared on the internet is accurate and that both children and adults are not bullied.

INSIGHTS ON CONTENT: The Social Media Channels Resonating With Content Marketers Now
by Linda Pophal
The potential void that could be caused by a TikTok ban has marketers looking for other options—and there are some poised to fill it.

Historians Challenge the Supreme Court's Historical Errors
by Mick O'Leary
The Historians Council on the Constitution is a recently formed program of the progressive Brennan Center for Justice, with the intent to publicize and correct errors by the U.S. Supreme Court in its interpretations of American history. The council produces magazine articles, analytical reports, and amicus briefs, which are all available on the Brennan Center for Justice site.

The Supreme Court has always been at the center of legal attention and controversy, and rightly so: As the apex of the nation’s judiciary, its job is to take up the toughest and most consequential cases.
