A native of South Jersey, Talent Manager, Candy Thibeau, has extensive knowledge and experience in the entertainment industry. Candy has both experience behind and in front of the camera. After studying Film and Music Business in college, she later received her MBA from Florida Atlantic University. She has a sharp business instinct combining her creativity and business savvy as well as marketing and branding skills to create one of a kind successful businesses. She looks for ways to make her business’ stand out from the rest. Candy is very passionate in people development. She realizes any business is only as successful as the people they develop. She is a true entrepreneur who also happens to own a thriving bakery, Maggie Moose, in Medford, NJ right next door to Bookit Talent Management!
Candy worked in pre production in various roles for several feature films with the Philadelphia Film Commission as well as worked along side of top casting agents where she learned the art of a successful audition. She also worked as a recording engineer and record promoter for major talents in the music industry. Candy has also worked as an actress in front of the camera. She truly understands all aspects of the business which makes her stand out.
Candy and her family, which include 4 boys, eventually moved to Toronto, Canada and after a brief hiatus in the industry to raise her children, her son Landon, one day, out of the blue, asked her how he could get on tv just like the kids on the show he was watching. Without hesitation she immediately went to work and soon found herself managing all four of her children. Having to reestablish new contacts in another country, she sought an agent for her boys. She knew and understood the importance of having a talent agent work for her children to get them quality work while she focused on their development and skills as young actors. After a really not so great experience with an agent while her son was at an audition, she knew she had to advocate better for her children. Candy immediately sought the advice of one of Canada’s top talent agents, Patricia Jarosz who has an extensive successful career as a model, actress, talent scout, writer and producer. Patricia has an incredible eye for discovering talent. Her ability to discover up and coming talent is a specialty all of its own. Patricia signed Candy’s children and together, they worked along side of each other for years to turn her children into successful, professional, working actors with several commercial, television and film credits . Candy’s boys went on to receive Joey Awards nominations for their various acting roles on shows like, Web of Lies, Adventures of Napkin Man, Paranormal Witness, The Odd Squad and many National Comnercials. Candy quickly became the go to person for advice amongst her friends and within the community on the ins and outs of getting kids and themselves into the industry as professional working actors. People sought her out for her expertise and were drawn to her passion to want to help them avoid mistakes and offer techniques and recommendations to get them started. Upon moving back to the States, Candy and Patricia decided to join forces and partner. Together they work along side together as separate entities working towards the same goal, to develop talent and get them working!
Candy owns and operates, Bookit Talent Management while Patricia maintains her role with her exclusive, Bookit Talent Agency. It takes years, for an actor to sign with an agent of Patricia’s caliber. But she and Candy came up with a way to bridge the gap. Candy’s role is to help talent navigate through the true ins and outs while educating them, and their families, if they are minors, on developing their craft and fine tuning their skills as well as the business side and the ins and outs of the industry. Candy will continue to manage and develop her talent and once they are ready to audition, they get agency representation with Bookit Talent Agency! Patricia is so confident and trusts that Candy will develop her talent on a fast track they created together, to have them auditioning for professional roles in a matter of months! Patricia has agreed to also sign on the talent immediately with her agency when they sign with Candy! How unbelievably incredible is that?!
