BREAKING NEWS from WON Broadcasting, primarily W.O.N 920 The Apple radio:
For those who have been loyal listeners and followers of my radio show "W.O.N's One Nostalgic Weekend", I have some news to share and its probably one of the most difficult decision I've had to make.
I created "One Nostalgic Weekend back in 2016..In the 8 years of hosting and producing the program, I've been able to create a two hour flashback trip for radio listeners to the decades of the 1930s-1950s.
But after 8 wonderful years of being your tour guide to the past and taking radio listeners to the journey of the golden age of radio.....I have made the decision to end W.O.N's One Nostalgic Weekend Radio Program This Year. This is a decision I've thought of for almost two and a half years. Many things have changed in these two and a half years and the most important things that has become my main priority has been my mom's health and taking care of her full time...especially with the fact that she is turning 80 in February and my own health....both physical and mental.
I love radio...and love doing radio and being a part of it....and love showcasing the radio shows of the past....and I still will be a part of it running my station and producing specials for radio stations....but it has become more harder to produce the shows at a timely fashion and I feel the time has come to move on and do other things...but most important...take a step back and lighten my work load.
With that being said....W.O.N's One Nostalgic Weekend with end in Mid-December 2024 right before Christmas.....
I love each and every one of the listeners who tuned in every week to the show over the past 8 years....I'll still be producing content...but not on a weekly basis...So let's buckle up for the last few months of this 8 year ride of "One Nostalgic Weekend",
