PA State Rep Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia County) has made his intentions clear: he wants to criminalize drag performances and, by extension, LGBTQ+ public life in the Commonwealth. In a memo circulated to his colleagues, Leadbeter announced plans to introduce a bill that would make it a third-degree felony for anyone to allow a minor to attend a drag show. This bill would effectively criminalize Pride celebrations across Pennsylvania.

From the PEP Radio Newsroom, this is our morning news blast for February 28, 2025, …Pennsylvania State Representative Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia County) ha...

Way to go, Elon! Thanks to your “chainsaw” approach to education cuts, you managed to COST taxpayers more money than you saved. Maybe you should change the name of your working group to DOGI, Department of Government Ineffeciency. We realize this government isn’t big enough for two doggies. So why don’t you take your other doggy out of the Oval Office for a walk before he craps all over the country with another Executive Order.

An amazing story of the growth of House Music and the development of the genre. Black gay clubs in Chicago grew from humble beginnings in the 1970s at a time when gay black and Latino people had to hide their identities.

As part of Black History Month, we explore how Gospel music grew as a musical genre in Chicago. The Wright Brothers' story from Dayton, Ohio, to Kill Devil Hill, NC is quite a remarkable one. Stand with Pride examines various changes happening as a result of the changes in Washington DC whether with DOGE, the US Department of Education, or Homeland Security. We weave in the jazz stylings of Sarah Vaughn before returning to more news from Andy Humm and Anne Northrop on Gay USA. On Auschwitz explores the complexities of the quintessential N**i concentration camp and extermination center. We wrap up our specialty block with News in an Hour about the various other news stories that impacted us in Pennsylvania. That's tomorrow and Sunday from 9 AM - 4 PM on PEP Radio.

We realize there is a lot of text in this photo. However, as with all bills that are introduced, one must read the fine print to fully grasp the consequences of passing such a bill into law. Should schools be forced to out students to parents they know are not supportive of the LGBTQ+ community? Should they be forced to tell trans students that they cannot honor their pronouns or name? Should young girls who become pregnant be forced by their parents to carry the baby to term, even if conceived by r**e or in**st?

What are your thoughts on Senator John Fetterman?

On Wednesday, mounting anger and frustration among Democratic voters across Pennsylvania exploded into the streets. And while the main target was President Donald Trump, Democrats also had some choice words for one of their own: Sen. John Fetterman.
