ATLANTA – Temporary Disaster Recovery Centers are open in Candler, Johnson, Telfair and Ware counties to give survivors more options to get help applying for federal assistance, receive updates on their applications and learn about the appeals process.
The new centers’ hours and location are as follows:
Telfair County
8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, through Saturday, Dec. 14
American Legion
3372 E. Golden Isles Hwy.

Candler County
8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, through Saturday, Dec. 14
Candler Recreation Center

Metter, GA 30439
Johnson County
8 a.m. to 4 pm, Monday and Tuesday Dec. 9 & 10, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 through Saturday, Dec. 14
Johnson County Annex

Ware County
8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, through Saturday, Dec. 14

Also, the recovery center at the Washington Fire Department (Training Room), 212 E. Court St., Washington, GA 30673 in Wilkes County will resume regular operating hours (8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday) on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Survivors may visit any one of FEMA’s Disaster Recovery Centers throughout the state to apply for assistance. To find center locations and hours, visit FEMA’s DRC Locator or text “DRC” and your zip code to 43362.
