Vehicle on fire. The McLaughlin Volunteer Fire Dept. is now on scene. Local witnesses report that a group of youth had thrown a Molotov cocktail on the vehicle. The car was loaded with multiple fireworks inside which caused small, multiple explosions.
Some community members are looking for these youth at the time of this posting.
Thank you McLaughlin Volunteer Fire Department for battling the blaze.
A wise note of preparation, community members are encouraged to buy and keep a fire extinguisher in there vehicles. Especially during this dry season. There have been multiple grass fires throughout the reservation. BIA forestry fire fighters have been placed in various places in the countryside if the reservation as a precaution for better response times. We'd like to thank them also for ensuring the safety of the people.
