Bible Verses for Spiritual and Emotional Healing

Sin, abuse, neglect, rejection, betrayal...all cause great emotional and spiritual pain that hurt just as physical pain does. God, our Great Physician can completely heal our broken hearts and bind our wounds, healing, and making us whole. Spiritual and emotional healing is often a process with steps that we need to put action behind. Use the following Bible verses to guide your heart and mind toward full recovery.

"My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body." ~ Proverbs 4:20-22

"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." ~ Proverbs 17:22

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace." ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

"LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress." ~ Isaiah 33:2

"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." ~ James 5:6

"He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” ~ 1 Peter 2:24by his wounds you are healed

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." ~ John 14:27jesus gives peace

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." ~ Matthew 11:28-30

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." ~ Isaiah 40:29he gives strength to the weary

"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." ~ 1 Corinthians 10:13

HERE IS AN INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY for Indigenous artists to share their expertise with others and help train the next generation of Native artists. SPRC was happy to help facilitate a relationship with Misty (and Maliyah) Heiden and elder/master artist Justine Two Lodge and the Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program. The pair was able to purchase supplies and pay for travel costs for meeting, among other things. The photo below is the pair presenting all of the items they created through the partnership.

SPRC would be happy to help any apprenticeship partnership with technical assistance, advice/guidance, or other help. Are you a master artist that would like an apprentice? Or are you an apprentice that would like to work with a master artist(s)? REACH OUT TO THEM and let us help you.

The Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship program honors and encourages the preservation of North Dakota's diverse living traditions by providing funding up to $4,500 for master traditional artists to pass on their skills and knowledge to an apprentice(s) over an extended period of time.

Traditional and folk arts are shared creative expressions of identity passed from generation to generation within a family, community, region, tribe, ethnic group, occupation, or religion. Forms of traditional expression include craft, technical skill, music, dance, and ritual celebration. These art forms are usually passed from one individual to another informally, by word of mouth or by example.

A master may apply for and receive more than one grant if circumstances warrant, especially if the projects involve different artforms.

First-time applicants are encouraged to contact the program officer if they have questions while preparing the application. The program officer can assist with eligibility questions and project idea development and goals.

Hau Mitakuyapi, today is October 1st, 2023. I'm doing a fundraiser this month from October 1st until my Birthday November 1st, 2023.
I'm on a fixed income, I have three stints in my heart, and I'm a type II Diabetic on shots. I work four hours a week as an On Air Personality * Volunteer DJ at our local community radio station. I need help purchasing 10 ply tires for my pickup truck, those of you who know we have pretty bad winters here in South Dakota. All of our districts are about 20 to 30 miles apart. Another thing about Standing Rock, you just don't travel without a cell phone, especially if you have health issues. My goal fundraiser is $2,000. Anything given would be greatly appreciated. If you can't donate, that's fine, please share. Wopila Tanka in advance. Sincerely, Inyan HuYamni. (If you have questions, please feel free to inbox me).
If you can drop some Money on my PAYPAL
@ [email protected] anything would be greatly appreciated. Pilamaya Yelo Mitakuyapi.
