About Us
Comedy on the Rocks started with the dream of Zach Cieply, who hoped to tell rooms full of people stories about his genitalia, denigrate his family for applause, and voice his very strong opinions on topics he knew little about. After it was determined that Zach was “haha” weird and not “don’t invite him to the party” weird, he found others in Pittsburgh who shared this dream for themselves. Eventually, Zach asked the owner of a theater if he and his “friends” could talk about their opinions/family/genitalia in front of the theater’s patrons. For some reason, the owner allowed this and Comedy on the Rocks was born. Comedy on the Rocks features a comedy open-mic every Friday, a comedy show every third Saturday, and a live podcast where comedians talk about current events, but, like, in a funny way.
