Opera Night, Long Island (ONLI) is a nonprofit organization providing the Island’s only live opera series. Our professional, classically trained conservatory singers perform excerpts from opera, operetta, art songs, and musical theater with piano accompaniment. ONLI presents monthly programs and is under the direction of Isabella Eredita Johnson.

The December 13th program features exciting excerpts from many popular operas such as Puccini’s “La Boheme and Madama Butterfly,” Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” Bizet’s “Carmen,” Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, Gounod’s “Romeo et Juliette,” Handel’s “Messiah,” and Jonathan Dove’s “The Enchanted Pig.” This evening’s program not only features opera arias, but highlights famous duets sung by our Opera Night team of professionals. The musical theater selections include Richard Rodgers “South Pacific,” and Bock / Harnik’s “Fiddler on the Roof.” We have a special treat with a children’s choir singing Iannuzzi’s “Mission to the Stars.”

Our emcee, Steven Lohlein provides short narratives during the program which provide an excellent musical journey through the ages for all ages. We bring people together.
