⚠ 9PM Update ⚠

➡️ There are already over 20k power outages in northwest Indiana from the wind. Outages will be possible down to I-70 where the current wind advisory is in place. Gusts up to 55-65mph can be expected as the wind is already overperforming.

➡️ Rain and snow are beginning later than expected. Because of this, we are not anticipating that many snowfall impacts south of I-70. Most impacts would be north for those who do see snow.

➡️ Rainfall is falling in many areas. This is concerning because the cold front is right behind it. Flash freezing is likely, which will create hazardous travel conditions as moisture on untreated roads will turn to black ice.

➡️ Wind chills are likely to fall to near -10°F for areas north of I-70 tonight and into tomorrow morning. This is unusual for early December. Sensitive groups, like elders and children, may be impacted.

➡️ We will provide updates as the evening continues.
