Hi friends…

I have gotten a bunch of messages from people who want to help me directly and I’d like to address that here. I didn’t lose anything in the flood. I came home to a dry studio and a dry apartment, both with power and water. People in Rollins and Marshall lost a lot… some lost everything. I have received a bunch of donations into my Venmo and have used that money to facilitate the cleanup and restoration of Marshall. That money has bought cotter pins for machines, Gatorade for the coolers, coffee and creamer to jump start the day for the operators and volunteers, medical gear, gas for the buggy, porta potties and storage building rentals for Rollins… a little bit of everything! I still need those donations to come in to put out the little fires that only a fistful of petty cash can cover but I don’t think I need this kind of money to be earmarked for me personally… It’s complicated to keep it separated and honestly I’m just going to spend it on recovery anyway… so I appreciate the personal donations but I’m considering it all disaster relief funds (except I bought some pants and underwear. Those are mine).

That being said I am worried about my financial future. I own a small music studio and barely make it as it is. I’m not sure how much recording people are going to be able to do or if I’d even have the heart to charge for recording sessions until this is all behind us… I’m sure I’ll be busy with this cleanup and restoration for months to come and perhaps it will become a paid position… I’m sure I won’t starve. However if you would like to support me individually please consider this…

I have a Patreon page. Patreon is like onlyfans for non-pervs and I’ve had it for a few years. Originally it was going to be used to record and showcase porch pickers that would probably never get into a studio to record but that took a back burner to making punk rock records and I never got after the Patreon thing. So if you would like to personally support me this would be a very sustainable way to do so… if you sign up you can buy me a cup of coffee every month… and better yet you can turn it off when this whole thing gets back to normal. If 5 billion of you sign up I can buy and shut down twitter. So that’s it… I’m not sure when my work life will go back to normal but I know that there are people out there who need a lot more than I do right now. My pledge to you is that if you do support me through Patreon I will never. ever post anything on there that isn’t for posted elsewhere for free… thank you for caring and thank you for helping Marshall!!

I want to personally thank Josh and the fella’s from North Shore Sealcoating/Asphalt. They drive down from Cleveland to help a bunch of strangers clean up this mess. Thank you. Safe travels.

Please tell Gary Bryan Haynes and John Paul Poisson that we have found their drivers licenses and they are at the Operations tent in downtown Marshall. Thank you!!

Just pulled into Marshall. The light rain last night cleared the mud off Main Street and you can see the lines in the road. I think I might break down a bit.

Bobby Rayfield liked one of these posts and for a second I read his name as Ruby Mayfield and I smiled..

I am not affiliated with this.

I am wary of all social media fundraising.

I’d guess that the heavy equipment guys have spent $250,000 dollars moving mud and debris so far (if they were billing for services)
This fundraiser is stated to be for that.
Do your research and if you are comfortable donating please do.

Does anyone know of a dentist open today (Saturday) that can pull a molar? I’ve had a cracked tooth for years and it didn’t cause any discomfort but I woke up at 130 am today in awful pain… thank you.

Alright….. I spent a lot of today in Rollins speaking to the people that live there and had a community meeting with Kevin Ward and Matt Lucas. If you don’t know, Rollins is a small community just up river from Marshall and unlike downtown, it is all homes and no businesses. It is also a less affluent community that might not have the resources to rebuild. I’m worried about them… this is the town where all the last names go back generations and it’s also the home of my favorite lady that works at my Sisters Attic. Some of these people are not leaving Rollins… all of their houses have been wrecked. They are camping….

So here is my ask…
I need carbon monoxide detectors
I need indoor safe propane heaters

Kevin Ward is going to organize a work crew to put clear plastic up on both sides of the windows and I’m going to install (personally) carbon monoxide detectors and show the residents how to safely use a heater indoors. I don’t know how many I’ll need so I’ll start with 10 each. If you want to help here is your chance.
Buddy Heaters would be best and a 20lb tank adapter hose would be better.

Thank you for your continued support. Please don’t send me money for these just send the equipment to Nanostead.

Buddy Heaters
20lb tank hose adapters
Carbon monoxide detectors

Thank you
