The holiday season is in full swing, and Southwest Minnesota is bursting with events to get you in the festive spirit!

- Start your weekend at the Holiday Book Sale Marshall-Lyon County Library: today (Friday) from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and continuing tomorrow, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Christmas, Cocktails & Charcuterie at Lyon County Museum Marshall, MN is this evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Enjoy a festive evening with gourmet cheeses, seasonal charcuterie, and handcrafted cocktails, all set against the backdrop of beautifully decorated museum displays.

On Saturday you should check out the following: 12th Annual Indoor Christmas Tree Walk Lyon County Museum Marshall, MN from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Wander through a magical display of creatively decorated Christmas trees contributed by local families, businesses, and organizations.

For those seeking a healthier lifestyle, the Healthy Living Expo at SMSU’s Student Center is the place to be. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, explore products ranging from sports nutrition and skincare to water filtration systems.

Looking for unique gifts? Head over to the Taste and See Extravaganza Craft Fair Prairie's Edge Casino Resort in Granite Falls from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This event features over 50 vendors offering everything from handcrafted items and home goods to delectable treats.

Families with young children won’t want to miss Christmas Morning With Laura at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Walnut Grove, happening Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This free event includes cookie decorating, crafts, story time, and a special visit from Santa Claus.

In the afternoon, the festive atmosphere shifts to downtown Granite Falls with the Holiday Kickoff Celebration from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Join in the magic with a tree dedication ceremony, photo opportunities with Santa, kids’ crafts, Turkey Bingo, and s’mores by the fire.

Throughout the weekend, music lovers can enjoy performances of The Sounding Joy by Prairie Arts Chorale in Wabasso, Montevideo, Spicer, and Marshall.

Finally, don’t forget to stop by the 2024 Hill Street Place Holiday Bazaar in Marshall on Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This festive marketplace is perfect for finding one-of-a-kind treasures and handcrafted goods.
