BREAKING...The Ishpeming City Council has terminated the employment of City Manager Craig Cugini.

At a special closed session meeting tonight, the Council voted unanimously to dismiss Cugini.

At the meeting, the Council also voted to appoint City Finance Director Grant Getschow to serve as Interim City Manager, effective immediately. The reason for Cugini's dismissal has not been disclosed.

The City will now begin the search for a permanent City Manager. Cugini served as City Manager since February of 2020.
