Wednesday we had the pleasure of having another class lunch party with one of our Letters of Thanksgiving winners! We visited Jefferson Elementary in Marion where letter winner Emma and her classmates in Ms. Blumenstock’s class enjoyed a lunch with food provided by Clearwave Fiber (along with goodie bags) and drinks furnished by Villas of Holly Brook Herrin, student gift bags from Majestic Flag Store and the winning letter author and teacher received gifts from SIU Credit Union and Majestic Flag Store. Letters of Thanksgiving in 2024 was also made possible by Reynolds Exteriors & Coatings Black Diamond Harley-Davidson and Zeigs Auto

One subject is in custody, however, one or possibly two black males fled on foot.

TRAFFIC ALERT

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle and an electric bike that happened early this morning on Skyline Drive in Marion.

The roadway between Aisin Drive and Crenshaw Road is closed at this time for accident reconstruction. You should find another route.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries and has subsequently been airlifted to a regional trauma center.

We hope to have more details when they are made available to us.
