Happy Monday. 💛
I have decided to go back into the corporate life. Mostly for stability. I've been through 4 interviews with the company that I will most likely be working for in the next week.
Will I still be a photographer? I don't think I can ever stop that, right? I can't even say that it was a hard decision. This will allow me to earn a consistent, well paid income with benefits and set me up for a better retirement than I've ever gotten from photography.
Does photography provide several individuals with a fabulous life / income? Yes, absolutely. However, I was too focused on community, networking and sharing / teaching to become rich from it. I don't say that lightly either.
If you want to feel any type of way for me, let it be happiness. This is a good decision for me. 🥰

What does this mean? 🤔
I'll still be doing some photos for regular clients on the weekends. Honestly love the relationships I've built over the years. But if something comes up that's too big for me to handle along with a full time career (and kids, etc), then I'll happily refer you to one of my colleagues. (And if you get a referral from me, trust that they are 🤌🏻 in their genre).
I also will still do associate shooting on any weekend, too. This basically means no editing. Editing is the life suck of any photo / video project (for me) lol. So the less of that, the better. 😅
That being said - I might need to hire an editor for a few projects that I need to finish up. If you're interested, please shoot me a DM. You need to be really great at matching tones / editing styles. 🤘🏻

Thanks for reading. This is a lot of words and I'll probably post something else later with a big thank you to past clients but that might get a bit emotional and I need to focus on some 😌😌 serotonin today. ❤️‍🩹❤

Honestly, I've worked with a lot of models over the last 20 years and I have some that are on my short list. Meaning, I would recommend them in a heartbeat, without hesitation.

Robert is one of those models. He's always a professional but so great to work with. If you need a diverse, prompt and friendly male model, this is your guy.

By no means do I think that I'm going to be entering the world of birth photography as another career but its really nice to every now and then get to experience something new. Although I am STILL looking for a willing mom to let me film a birth.... *cough*

What an amazing 6 months this has been. I was able to open a dream studio, I stumbled upon the most amazing life partner and I've met so many new friends through the photo community.
I'm extra excited as all four of my daughters are under one roof and that's rare these days with schedules. I just needed to share my happiness with you this morning.
