Renown Sound Production RENOWN SOUND PRODUCTION is a Music Production Company based in Southwest Florida (but operates Global Welcome to the RENOWN SOUND PRODUCTION page!

Renown Sound Production encompasses a long history, starting at Drone Studios on El Camino in Redwood City, California back during the late 70’s and later on 5th Avenue in the 90’s. This history is rich with music and great memories that will never be forgotten. Through photos, video & music from that era, Music Producer & Sound Engineer Brett Brown is bringing these memories to the forefront agai

n! However, this page is not merely a vehicle for the past, but a portal into the future. Renown Sound Production continues to be open for business! Using today’s technology, we now have the ability to transfer recordings from analog to digital medium for archiving, re-mixing & mastering by the one and only Renown Sound “Guru” himself, Brett Brown! In our creation of the Renown Sound Production page, as well as www.RenownSoundProduction.com (coming soon), we welcome any and all contributions in the form of pictures, video & music recordings that our alumni might have in their archives! Steve Cropper: To be a good producer, you have to know when an artist is giving you the best performance they are going to give. You have to feel it or know it. You have to hear a song finished. It may be presented to you raw, just piano or guitar or something simple, [but] you have to hear the whole thing orchestrated and embellished.

I had been asked many times before where I get my ideas from. I didn’t know. I just channeled stuff. It just pops into your head and you just go with it. Everything is a little different. I don’t remember a day when I thought, “Yeah guys, I don’t feel it today, I’ll see you tomorrow.” I’ve always had some ideas stored or something happens and somebody comes up with an idea.

I take off with collaboration with another person. When they say, “Yeah, that is great” or, “That’s a great lick,” I get inspired right on the spot with it. If that energy is secured through the recording, it’s all going to bubble to the top.

This weekend, prompted by a post on NextDoor (along with other Alligator sightings reported both on FB & ND), I (Andrea) was inspired to unearth an oldie, but a goodie!

"Alligator" By the Saltwater Rednecks (recorded at Barefoot Studios in Captiva Island, FL) is a fun little ditty about the hardiness & staying power of the much-feared reptile ...... and its unfortunate demise in some cases. The song, itself, was edited, mixed & mastered by our very own Brett Brown at Renown Sound Production

On a lark, I composed a video with content over this weekend that follows this song's theme in a humorous vein. I hope everyone enjoy's a good laugh at this large reptile's expense!
