Husimaw is an independent publisher and producer of content focused on educating and entertaining the African diaspora. Our products are dedicated to bringing the best Africa focused media to it's diaspora worldwide using many new and old technologies. We seek to tell Africa's stories for various reasons, primarily because they are excellent, educational and entertaining lessons on who we are as a
people. As the cradle of life and home to the planet's most civilizations to date, there are so many amazing stories to be told that provide insight into our history and even our future and we aim to tell them. Due to the natural failures of oral tradition - many customs, teachings and histories from Africa have been lost and continue to be lost over time as technology progresses and the media space becomes flooded with content. Featuring photographs, quotes, stories, tales, illustrations and more, and harnessing the same technologies (print, mobile, web) we are out to create, recreate and share stories via publications for Africa's curious children. Our team is well prepared to breath life back into stories, folktales and material that define a people spread across the Americas, Europe, the Caribbean and more. Our first series focuses on Nigeria, a country with a population in excess of 160 million people (est. 2012) and a country with a colorful history that is of profound significance to a rapidly expanding African population. We seek to create historical archives - both educational and entertaining and we aim to link our customers with their ancestral origins while stimulating their curiosities.
