Nearly 600 dollars in cash raised for the Campus Cupboard and the Mansfield Food Pantry at WNTE's Mountie Game Day prior to the Mansfield-Army sprint football game. Still waiting for a couple of checks to come in the mail. Thanks again to all our sponsors, the winners of the gift baskets and all who dontated.

GAME DAY! Mansfield (5-1) vs Army (6-0) with the North Division Sprint Football title on the line. WNTE Mountie Game Day is providing pre-game entertainment; music, games, basket raffles, giveaways, interviews, and game analysis.
All proceeds from the raffles support the Campus Cupboard and community food pantries. Gates open at 11. A live Facebook stream is in the works. Tune in if you can't make the game.

Not sure this is the best marketing technique.....but

With food insecurities on the rise and the halting of SNAP benefits, local foodbanks are vital to assist those in need. Therefore, WNTE 89.5 FM, in conjunction with Commonwealth University, Mansfield, is planning a fundraiser prior to the November 8th sprint football game between Mansfield and Army to support local and campus foodbanks.

The concept is to create an ESPN Game Day event (WNTE Mountie Game Day) with games and contests, prizes and merch, guest interviews and music, and lots of HOOPLA and fun to raise money for a worthy cause.

The November 8th game is also the last home game of the season, the last home game of Coach John Evan’s career (he announced his retirement last week), as well as Senior Day.

To help make this event a rousing success, WNTE is seeking support from surrounding businesses and organizations. How can you help? By sponsoring an activity, or by donating gift certificates or merchandise to be given away as prizes for events or raffles. Of course, monetary donations are always appreciated. All proceeds will be donated to area foodbanks.

As a thank you, WNTE will promote your business or organization prior to the event as part of the radio and social media promotions as well as during the actual event.
