Fire crews are currently on scene of a structure fire at 315 W Industrial Street in Le Center, where a fire is actively burning within the building. Crews were initially alerted to a potential fire alarm activation. An officer arriving on the scene reported smoke emanating from the break room. Upon arrival, Le Center fire personnel observed smoke exiting the building and requested support from Cleveland fire and Montgomery fire. Fire crews are still on scene at this moment, so please stay away from the area to enable them to work effectively. Crew were also made aware of potential hazards inside the building.

Motor Vehicle accident- Saint Peter Police are on scene of a two vehicle accident at HWY 169 & Union Street with injuries and it’s blocking traffic. Saint Peter Pd is also along to make State Patrol advised of the crash
8:53- Officer on scene reports one person has a larger facial injury.
8:58- Officer on scene is requesting tows to be started right away.
9:25- Report to MCHS for one of the passengers is they have a 20ish yr old patient with a significant laceration to the right cheek that goes into her mouth and another laceration to the right temporal area and has some hematomas. They did report there was no intrusion into the back passengers area only in the front of the vehicle.
10:00-Hwy 169 SB is back open and units are clearing.

Car Vs Pedestrian- Mankato Fire is enroute to 414 S front in for a person that has been struck by a car and is unconscious and has a right leg injury.
11:06- Mankato Fire and Mayo Ems are on scene.
11:23- Mankato Fire is clear.
11:25- Mayos report to the hospital is they have a 35 yr old female that had her left leg ran over by a suv type of vehicle. They report that it’s only the left leg that was ran over. They also report she has been drinking and that she stood up for EMS on scene and that it looks like there is no fractures just some major swelling to the leg.

Natural gas alarm- Montgomery Fire is being paged to the address of 619 Fir Ave Northeast for a natural gas alarm going off with no other info.
9:34- Montgomery Fire is enroute.
9:36–Montgomery Fire is on scene
9:49-Montgomery Fire has requested Centerpoint energy for a water heater they want checked out.
9:55- No ETA for Centerpoint Energy but they do have a technician enroute.
9:58- 45 minute ETA for Centerpoint
10:52- Montgomery Fire is clear of the scene and have also turned the scene over to Centerpoint.

Smoke in building- Mankato Fire is being called to 875 Heron Drive for a report of smoke inside of the building. Caller is a retired firefighter and stated his hallway is full of smoke and it smells like burnt food and he also stated no alarms are going off and the elevators are shutdown.
1:58- Mankato Fire is enroute.
2:02- Command on scene reports he has a 3 story residential structure with nothing showing and he’ll be out investigating.
2:15- Two fire units are cleaning with one staying at the scene to ventilate
2:22-All units are now clear

Person through the ice- Police and fire along with a dive team are responding to the area of Big Twin Lake near Trimont for someone who went through the ice very minimal details at this moment.
10:33- Martin County to State Patrol have stated that the male is still in the water on his top of his vehicle and he’s not responding to the witnesses who are trying to help.
10:47- Per Martin county the male is out of the water.

Update from Lake Crystal post

On January 9th at 7:18 pm Sheriff’s Office deputies and Lake Crystal Ambulance Service personnel were dispatched to a residence on 515th Avenue just north of Highway 60 in rural Lake Crystal. The 911 caller reported finding his friend unresponsive inside the home.

First responders determined the female resident was deceased shortly after arriving on scene. The circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious and the investigation continues with assistance from the MN BCA and Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office does not believe there is any threat to the public. No additional details will be
released at this time.

ALERT: WATERMAIN BREAK

Staff located a watermain break involving the corner of W 3rd St & N Craig Street. This won’t get fixed until tomorrow, Friday January 10th. Properties along W 3rd St. may experience low water pressure or no water at times. This section of the road will be closed off so please avoid this intersection. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we restore the main.

North Mankato- Via Mndots radio traffic one of their plow drivers has just stated they are on fire near HWY 14 and lookout.
7:05- Plow driver has just stated that the fire is out and that there is a lot of smoke.
7:16- MNDOT on scene is requesting State Patrols help with lights due to the trucks being in an odd spot. Updated location is HWY 14 @ Lor Ray Drive

Smoke Investigation- Mankato Fire is being called to 1915 Madison Ave for a caller stating that thought there was an odd smell coming from Fromms auto and also thought there was smoke coming from the chimney.
8:13- Mankato Fire is enroute.
8:15- Mankato Fire is on scene and states no active flames or smoke but there is a smell that there has been something burning.
8:22- Another engine just arrived and just stated that there’s definitely an odor.
8:23- Manakato Fire is clearing the call they’re a chocking the smell of the odor to be an oil burner inside the shop to be the cause.

CAR VS LIGHTPOLE

Caller stated a SUV had hit a light pole in the center median. PD on scene stating it could be a possible medical issue.

7:08pm- Mayo transported a 20yr old male who is alert and oriented. Driver was wearing seatbelt and had no loss of consciousness.

Car Vs Pedestrian - Saint Peter PD along with Allina ambulance are being started to the intersection of Union St and North 3rd st for a car vs pedestrian with unknown injuries.
10:05- Police on scene have stated that this is now a hit and run the suspect car has taken off. They have also been aware the person who was hit is up and walking.
10:07- Officer has the vehicle stopped near Madison street and Minnesota Avenue.
10:14- Officer that stopped the car has started field sobriety tests and has logged a Portable Breath test of .119 and has placed the driver under arrest. The pedestrian that got hit declined to be checked out and went home.

6:59- Montgomery Fire and Montgomery ambulance are enroute. Officer on scene is stating no blocking.
7:00- Montgomery Fire and ambulance are on scene.
7:05- Montgomery Fire is blocking the southbound lane of HWY 13.
7:12- Montgomery Ambulance is enroute to Mayo New Prague
7:33- Units are still on scene and they’re waiting for a tow .

Burning smell- Le Center Fire is being paged to the address of 251 N Park Ave for the smell of smoke in the basement with no flames seen.
5:54- Le Center Fire is enroute.
6:01- Le center firefighter on scene reports it’s a possible electrical fire. Le Center firefighter is on scene .
