The Waseca Fire Department was paged to a structure fire northeast of Waseca today. We would like to thank the following agencies Janesville, Waterville, Morristown fire departments along with North Ambulance, Waseca County Sheriff Office & Dispatch Center, State Fire Marshals Office & Waseca Fire Department Auxiliary.

Grass fire- Mankato Fire is being called to a grass fire at 310 W Rock Street for what the caller described was a crazy white lady. The fire is reported to be 20 ft wide.
5:58- Mankato Fire is being told to catch Reconciliation Park due to the callers description.
6:01- Mankato Fire command is on scene and is reporting the lady is in custody and it’s at Reconciliation Park.
6:04- Mankato Fire is on scene.
6:26- Fire is out

Rural Vernon Center

SNOWMOBILE CRASH

Vernon Center Fire Department was dispatched to a snowmobile incident on the Blue Earth River in rural Vernon Center involving a 21-year-old male who had crashed into a tree. The responders initially struggled to locate the individual, who was found unconscious for an unspecified period around 4:17 PM. Lake Crystal Ambulance advised to page air transport due to the patient's unconscious state. North air landed at the scene around 4:42 PM and took off for MCHS at 5:05 PM. At the time of departure, the male was conscious, alert, and showed no apparent injuries.

Responding agencies included Vernon Center Fire, Lake Crystal Ambulance, Blue Earth County Sheriff's Department and North Memorial Air.

Structure Fire- Waterville Fire is being requested for mutual ad in Waseca County for a pole barn that’s fully engulfed at the address of 13361 403rd AVE. Crews on scene helping Waseca on the fire is Janesville Fire , Morristown Fire, Waterville Fire
2:30- Waterville Fire is enroute
2:40 Waterville Fire is on scene
3:51- Waterville Fire is clearing
4:57- All Mutual crews have cleared

Possible Fire- Mapleton Fire is being started near the address of 57370 174th lane of a possible large fire. Caller reports seeing it from very far.
7:35- Mapleton Fire is enroute
7:40- Mapleton Fire is requesting Good Thunder for mutual aid.
7:46- Good Thunder Fire is enroute with both tankers.
7:50- All responding units are being told to slow down and that they have a burn pile that was called in earlier.
7:52- Deputies on scene are trying to get ahold of the guy who’s supposed to be watching the fire.
Mapleton Fire and Good Thunder Fire are clear

Motor Vehicle Accident- Elysian Fire is being called to the area of 49265 231st Ave for a car vs pole with unknown injuries.
4:30- Elysian Fire is enroute.
4:36-Elysian Fire is on scene
4:40- Elysian Fire on scene reports that a farmer near the crash has no electricity and he’s currently trying to milk cows.
4:42- Elysian Fire was just told that MVEC has submitted the incident and will get a ETA shortly and Elysian Fire reports that they have road shutoff and that they have low hanging wires along with the pole dangling from the wires
4:51-ETA for MVEC is 45 minutes to 1 hr
6:37- Elysian Fire is clear of the scene.

Motor Vehicle Accident- Saint Peter police along with State Patrol and Rivers edge EMS are currently on scene of a car vs semi at Hwy 99 & Sheppard Drive. Officers on scene report they have one injury.
3:41- Two tows are enroute for both vehicles Both EB AND WB traffic has been shutdown.
3:51- Saint Peter PD has opened one lane up to start slowly moving traffic pat the scene.

Vehicle through the ice- Kasota Fire is enroute to the area of Westwood for a four wheeler that went through the ice near the narrows

Cabinets will be installed outdoors at Wheeler Park and Mankato West High School on February 27 in hopes of making the life-saving devices more accessible within the community.

Vehicle Accident- Owatonna Police and deputies are on scene of a one vehicle accident at Bixby Road and Hwy 14. Officers on scene report no injuries and there is lane blockage they’re also requesting Owatonna Fire for fluid cleanup.
5:25 PM- Owatonna Fire is enroute
5:30- Owatonna Fire is on scene
5:34-Owatonna Fire is clear
