As a publishing company, I thought we would share some of our songs that were hits around the world. This song, “How I Love You”, was written by Pamela Phillips Oland, and recorded by Engelbert Humperdinck, a number one song for weeks and weeks in Belarus, and still gets multi-millions of streams and plays. It would be great if you could give us a like or a follow...Seven songs making a difference this week. Here it is, the Top 20 for the week ending January 29. Based solely on weekly streaming, the more a song is streamed, the better it's chance of moving up and staying on the chart. If a song holds the #1 spot for three weeks in a row, it will be retired to the Wall of Honor.

Note, we have seen drastic changes in the number of streams. When we started this Chart in June, the 20th place song was getting 1000 to 1500 streams a week, this week the 20th spot has almost 7500 just for this last week....

Six brand new entries into the Top 20 this week, FOUR of those make the Top 10....

The High Road enters the Chart at #17 with Brand New You; Alberta's Brettyn Rose with Boys Night debuts at #14; In the #8, #7 and #6 spots it's Jesse Slack,Outta Be Outlawed, Keven Daken Music, Living Outside Of Lonely and Avenue 65 with Old Money, respectively; Tia McGraff and Go You Own Way enters the Top 20 this week at #2.

I reported yesterday, that one of our songs, “In a Perfect World”, it’s been translated into Danish titled “Lige her” and is in the running for the Danish representation of Eurovision 2023. Eight songs were picked out of 800 songs to represent and there will be a TV show February 11 to chose what moves forward. Denmark TV will broadcast to many countries and people get to vote! Here is a little video we did that weekend that Tim Schou and I wrote this song! Fun to have.

I wanted to send something out from one of our dear friends, Charles Foskett.  We met in the South of France many years ago and have maintained a closeness ever since. Very proud to have one of our songs Translated into Danish and sung by this Danish singer. Søren Torpegaard Lund. It’s a Co-write by me and Danish writer Tim Schou and will be performed on Danish TV February 11th. That winner moves on the the main stage of Eurovision representing Denmark. I have listen to this 100 times and so proud of the usage with Ralph Lauren. Karen Souza is an absolute dream to work with. Powerful, strong, talented, beautiful, she’s got it all. And of course my years with Pamela Oland and representing her amazing catalog, never go without appreciation. Ralph Lauren’s Holiday 2022 collection is featuring a song from a talented singer songwriter we represent, Karen Souza. From Argentina, she is one of the hardest working artists I know! The song, “Language of Love” is co-written by Karen, Pamela Oland(we also rep)and Davy Nathan. Very proud of this placement and big thanks to Ralph Lauren!

These words are from my friend, David Pomeranz. I am copying because I agree, 100%. We are often asked about our thoughts on being a successful Songwriter.

Here are some things that have worked and I hope they are of some value to you :

1) Dream Big and persist.

2) Write! Write! Write and write some more!

3) Make connections and meet people. Play your stuff for everyone; everywhere; all the time. Get out there! Success is a social sport.

4) Observe, study and learn from the best (who are your heroes?).

5) Listen to everything in every genre. You never know what it will inspire.

6) Work on it until you’re satisfied. You’ll know it when it’s right.

7) Have fun making stuff up - on the beach, in airports, in the car, on the street, in the woods and record on your cellphone so you don’t forget it.

😎 Keep your creative channels open while writing and don’t “self-edit” until later.

9) Surround yourself only with people who are with you 100%. Jettison the rest.

10) Beware of “well-meaning” people who criticize you and your work “for your own good” (do their comments inspire you or make you feel degraded?)

11) In business, you’re part of a team. Take care of your teammates.

12) Learn about the Music Business and how it works.

13) Other people know things. Consider their advice but always think for yourself and make your own decisions.

14) Keep agreements once made and be professional. Always deliver a better product than was expected and do so on time.

15) You can never burn out or dry up unless you “say so”. You are an endless source of creation.

16) Believe in yourself and hang in there until it “comes”. It will.
