This cap and ball 1858 New Army Revolver Carbine was brought in totally locked up with corrosion and rust after having been fired and then put away without being cleaned for two years. These photos are after 2 weeks of work to get it freed up and then a total clean and l**e for Black Powder.

Have you checked your gun safe lately? If not, it would be a good time to pull out those unused guns that have just sat collected dust and grime. Get them cleaned up and tuned so they are ready if you should need them.
Going hunting in the Fall? Now is the time to have your guns checked out. If you wait much longer all the smiths will be swamped with work and not able to get your guns finished and back to you in a timely manner.

This old .22 was brought up from Window Rock ,AZ a couple of years ago. It had a lot of sentimental value for the owner, so we agreed to refurbish it for him. The last two photos show the completed job.

It has been a while since I posted anything here. I have been busy with multiple guns being brought in for repairs and refurbishing.
the business has grown over the past couple of years and we can now offer some expanded service options. We are getting into drilling and tapping for scope mounts, as well as starting to offer cutting and threading barrels. As always the price will depend on the scope of the work needed.

It has been a while since I posted anything on here so here goes.

I have been staying pretty steady over the past few months and been able to keep a decent turnaround time. Most waits were due to waiting for parts. Generally repaired guns have been returned in one to two weeks.

This Re*****on Model 581 was brought in to be made shootable again. After disassembly I found it was missing the firing pin, the safety indent and spring, magazine, magazine latch and magazine guide. The rifle belonged to my client's grandfather, which was why he wanted it restored to operating condition. I cleaned the stock, would like to refinish it, did a light touch up on the bluing on the barrel and will reassemble when I receive the safety indent and spring. These guns have a reputation of being good shooters.

I have been working on restoring this old Wi******er Model 67. Here are the before and in progress pictures. Some of the bolt parts were missing and had to be replaced. This gun has nostalgic value to the owner which warrants the restoration.

It seems like it has been a while since I posted anything on here. We have been busy of late, with all the political nonsense, rioting, and whatnot that has been going on, people are getting out guns that haven't seen the light of day for a couple of decades, and many of them won't fire for various reasons. Most often it just takes a total disassembly and deep cleaning to correct the problem, but this takes some time to do correctly. My goal is to do a thorough job and get it back to the owner as quickly as possible.

With the political unrest, there are a lot of people out buying guns. A background check that used to take 20 to 40 minutes on line now can take 3 to 4 days to get a response.

Doing a FFL transfer for a young lady on this Weatherby SA08 12 ga collector's edition Duck's Unlimited shotgun. Where the Instacheck process used to take about 20 minutes, it now takes about 2 days for a response.
