Checked out Front Row Restaurant in Exeter, NH for a few pours of some New England goodness & a fat double cheeseburger. I had this place suggested to me from a follower on a post a few months ago & was looking for something new to check out semi close to my apartment so it was the perfect time to go. Established twenty-seven years ago in 1999 they seem to have been a popular staple in the seacoast area for awhile now. Exeter is packed with great pubs, restaurants, breweries, taverns & more so being able to standout in a stacked city with all those options isn't easy. The pizza seemed to be the big gimmick, but like the creature of habit I am, scooped a burger. The craft beer list definitely stood out here, it wasn't the most diverse or complex, although it was better than expected. I was able to find a couple new beers I hadn't tried & finished the visit off with one of my favorite brown ales I've had over the years so let's get to it. π»π»π₯β
I started off with a couple beers from Trillium Brewing Company I hadn't tried yet & like usual I wasn't let down. The first pour I got was the LET THE CHIP DROP IPA, it was a collaboration with Monkish Brewing Co. out of California. This was good with a ton of citrus, especially grapefruit being very prominent. The second Trillium pour was my favorite of the two. The HEADROOM (2025) DIPA was everything I expected from a haze bomb, it was super hoppy, juicy & had the perfect balance of bitterness. My last pour was the DOUBLE PIG'S EAR Brown Ale from Woodstock Inn Brewery, this is one of my favorite dark beers made in New Hampshire & is always delicious on tap. πΊπ₯βπ»π»
I grabbed the Cheeseburger Special, which was a 6oz angus beef patty with American cheese on a brioche bun. Like the fa**ss I am I added a second angus burger, extra cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles & onions. This thing ended up being much larger than I expected, but I soldiered through it, forging my way through the meat sweats & finished it. I took a nice long three hour nap when I got home to allow my body to recover & catch up after all the trauma I put it through. There was all the usual seating options here including tables, hightops & a decent sized bar. The service was excellent & the prices weren't too crazy for the beers & food. I'll probably make a sidequest here again before years end to try the pies & check out the beer again since I'm just down the street, cheers! π»π₯βπββ₯οΈπΊ
