I called a married lady who was
owing me money, but she didn't pick my calls.

I called 10 times more, still no answer. Knowing that her husband was not at home, I decided to send her this message:

"Hello Sisy, I'm not calling for the money. I just wanted to tell you that 2 girls were fighting over your husband in town today. It was a big fight and he was just there watching, until one of the girl managed to escape into his car and they drove off".

After some minutes, she called me but I ignored her. She kept calling and I found 21 missed calls from her and a message which read:

"Where was the fight?
Where did they go?
Did you Notice those girls? Please tell me, I am falling apart."

I just read and didn't respond. She called again, 5 times and I didn't answer, then another message from her:

"I have your money, please can we meet, so you tell me more?"

Then i replied, "Okay, you can Send it through Mobile Money so that when I pass by the filling station to refuel, then I will pick you and drive you to one of the Girl's House because I know them."

After 2 mins, I checked my account balance, my money was fully paid.

I then switched off my phone and slept like a baby...please guys bless me with follow 🙏 🙏

AUTHORITY
A BOOK TO READ
Lesson 1: Develop Expertise
True authority stems from genuine expertise in a particular area. Dedicate yourself to learning, gaining experience, and staying up-to-date in your field. Your knowledge and competence will naturally attract respect and establish you as a credible authority.

Lesson 2: Cultivate Confidence
Confidence is a key ingredient to projecting authority. Believe in your abilities and expertise. Speak with conviction, maintain eye contact, and exude an aura of self-assurance. Confidence is contagious and will inspire others to trust your judgment and follow your guidance.

Lesson 3: Practice Effective Communication
Clear, concise, and persuasive communication is essential for establishing authority. Articulate your ideas clearly, tailor your message to your audience, and use language that resonates with them. Effective communication ensures that your expertise and insights are understood and appreciated.

Lesson 4: Demonstrate Humility
While confidence is important, humility is equally crucial. Avoid arrogance and recognize that you don't have all the answers. Acknowledge the contributions of others and be open to learning from different perspectives. Humility makes you a more approachable and respected authority figure.

Lesson 5: Lead by Example
Actions speak louder than words. Set a high standard for yourself and embody the qualities you expect from others. Your actions will demonstrate your commitment to your values and reinforce your authority as a role model.

Lesson 6: Empower Others
True authority isn't about wielding power over others; it's about empowering them. Share your knowledge, provide mentorship, and encourage others to take ownership of their work. By empowering others, you cultivate a culture of growth and innovation, further solidifying your position as a respected authority.

Lesson 7: Continuously Grow and Adapt
The world is constantly changing, and authority figures must adapt accordingly. Embrace lifelong learning, stay open to new ideas, and be willing to challenge your own assumptions. Continuous growth and adaptation ensure that your authority remains relevant and respected in an ever-evolving.

Barrie Amadu Lama ✍️

This picture you are seeing below describes some of the problems we go through today, this animal fell inside a ditch struggling alone, pushing alone, fighting alone, crying alone, suffering alone, but there was nobody to help the animal until the last day the animal died painfully that's the time crowd was witnessed.

Some people's lives are like this animal here, you fall into situation, backward you cannot go, forward you still can't move, you are stuck in there; crying alone, suffering alone, and pushing alone. Some business and organizations are like this; they struggle with corrupt system, they struggle with loans, they struggle with clients, they struggle with losses and sustainability of the organization alone!

Some politicians, philosophers, preachers, motivational speakers, friends, and family keep on asking you to push harder, believe in yourself, you are strong and so on...! But some of them do not understand what life is. They will promise to be with you but they will not support you to be back on your feet instead celebrate your failure and jubilate it.

Sometimes let us check on each other and render help. Sometimes is not all about money but it's all about time you create for one another and the good relationships you keep. Money will come and go, fame will come and go. Money 💵 will never be enough! But if you are blessed with wealth support the needy as much as you can.

If you are in a position to support your family, friend, colleagues, you name them....pleaee support unconditionally. This life is like a box of chocolate you never know what will be reward. : Allah is the most supreme and his rewards are the best.

🔰BREAKING: Tinubu Announces Provisional Wage Increase For Low-Grade Workers

The President announced the increase in his first Independence Anniversary speech on Sunday. The wage increase is to help cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal, which has led to a surge in the cost of living in the country.

“Based on our talks with labour, business and other stakeholders, we are introducing a provisional wage increment to enhance the federal minimum wage without causing undue inflation,” Tinubu said.”

“For the next six months, the average low grade worker shall receive an additional Twenty Five Thousand naira per month.”

ADDRESS BY HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR, PRESIDENT AND COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 63RD INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY OF NIGERIA ON SUNDAY, 1ST OCTOBER, 2023

Dear Compatriots,

It is my unique honour to address you on this day, the 63rd anniversary of our nation’s independence, both as the President of our dear country and, simply, as a fellow Nigerian.

On this solemn yet hopeful day, let us commend our founding fathers and mothers. Without them, there would be no modern Nigeria. From the fading embers of colonialism, their activism, dedication and leadership gave life to the belief in Nigeria as a sovereign and independent nation.

Let us, at this very moment, affirm that as Nigerians, we are all endowed with the sacred rights and individual gifts that God has bestowed on us as a nation and as human beings. No one is greater or lesser than the other. The triumphs that Nigeria has achieved shall define us. The travails we have endured shall strengthen us. And no other nation or power on this earth shall keep us from our rightful place and destiny. This nation belongs to you, dear people. Love and cherish it as your very own.

Nigeria is remarkable in its formation and essential character. We are a broad and dynamic blend of ethnic groups, religions, traditions and cultures. Yet, our bonds are intangible yet strong, invisible yet universal. We are joined by a common thirst for peace and progress, by the common dream of prosperity and harmony and by the unifying ideals of tolerance and justice.

Forging a nation based on the fair application of these noble principles to a diverse population has been a task of significant blessing but also serial challenge. Some people have said an independent Nigeria should never have come into existence. Some have said that our country would be torn apart. They are forever mistaken. Here, our nation stands and here we shall remain.

This year, we passed a significant milestone in our journey to a better Nigeria. By democratically electing a 7th consecutive civilian government, Nigeria has proven that commitment to democracy and the rule of law remains our guiding light.

At my inauguration, I made important promises about how I would govern this great nation. Among those promises, were pledges to reshape and modernize our economy and to secure the lives, liberty and property of the people.

I said that bold reforms were necessary to place our nation on the path of prosperity and growth. On that occasion, I announced the end of the fuel subsidy.

I am attuned to the hardships that have come. I have a heart that feels and eyes that see. I wish to explain to you why we must endure this trying moment. Those who sought to perpetuate the fuel subsidy and broken foreign exchange policies are people who would build their family mansion in the middle of a swamp. I am different. I am not a man to erect our national home on a foundation of mud. To endure, our home must be constructed on safe and pleasant ground.

Reform may be painful, but it is what greatness and the future require. We now carry the costs of reaching a future Nigeria where the abundance and fruits of the nation are fairly shared among all, not hoarded by a select and greedy few. A Nigeria where hunger, poverty and hardship are pushed into the shadows of an ever fading past.

There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future.

My government is doing all that it can to ease the load. I will now outline the path we are taking to relieve the stress on our families and households.

We have embarked on several public sector reforms to stabilize the economy, direct fiscal and monetary policy to fight inflation, encourage production, ensure the security of lives and property and lend more support to the poor and the vulnerable.

Based on our talks with labour, business and other stakeholders, we are introducing a provisional wage increment to enhance the federal minimum wage without causing undue inflation. For the next six months, the average low-grade worker shall receive an additional Twenty-Five Thousand naira per month.

To ensure better grassroots development, we set up an Infrastructure Support Fund for states to invest in critical areas. States have already received funds to provide relief packages against the impact of rising food and other prices.

Making the economy more robust by lowering transport costs will be key. In this regard, we have opened a new chapter in public transportation through the deployment of cheaper, safer Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses across the nation. These buses will operate at a fraction of current fuel prices, positively affecting transport fares.

New CNG conversions kits will start coming in very soon as all hands are on deck to fast track the usually lengthy procurement process. We are also setting up training facilities and workshops across the nation to train and provide new opportunities for transport operators and entrepreneurs. This is a groundbreaking moment where, as a nation, we embrace more efficient means to power our economy. In making this change, we also make history.

I pledged a thorough housecleaning of the den of malfeasance the CBN had become. That housecleaning is well underway. A new leadership for the Central Bank has been constituted. Also, my special investigator will soon present his findings on past lapses and how to prevent similar reoccurrences. Henceforth, monetary policy shall be for the benefit of all and not the exclusive province of the powerful and wealthy.

Wise tax policy is essential to economic fairness and development. I have inaugurated a Committee on Tax Reforms to improve the efficiency of tax administration in the country and address fiscal policies that are unfair or hinder the business environment and slow our growth.

To boost employment and urban incomes, we are providing investment funding for enterprises with great potential. Similarly, we are increasing investment in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

Commencing this month, the social safety net is being extended through the expansion of cash transfer programs to an additional 15 million vulnerable households.

My administration shall always accord the highest priority to the safety of the people. Inter-Service collaboration and intelligence sharing have been enhanced. Our Service Chiefs have been tasked with the vital responsibility of rebuilding the capacities of our security services.

Here, I salute and commend our gallant security forces for keeping us safe and securing our territorial integrity. Many have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We remember them today and their families. We shall equip our forces with the ways and means needed to perform their urgent task on behalf of the people,

We shall continue to make key appointments in line with the provisions of the Constitution and with fairness toward all. Women, Youth and the physically challenged shall continue to be given due regard in these appointments.

May I take this opportunity to congratulate the National Assembly for its role in the quick take-off of this administration through the performance of its constitutional duties of confirmation and oversight.

I similarly congratulate the judiciary as a pillar of democracy and fairness.

I also thank members of our dynamic civil society organizations and labour unions for their dedication to Nigerian democracy. We may not always agree but I value your advice and recommendations. You are my brothers and sisters and you have my due respect.

Fellow compatriots, the journey ahead will not be navigated by fear or hatred. We can only achieve our better Nigeria through courage, compassion and commitment as one indivisible unit.

I promise that I shall remain committed and serve faithfully. I also invite all to join this enterprise to remake our beloved nation into its better self. We can do it. We must do it. We shall do it.!!!

I wish you all a happy 63rd Independence Anniversary.

Thank you for listening.May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Hello Auntie Momoza, could you please hide me🙏. I have a child and have been co-paranting with his father. Recently his father did a DNA test and found out he is not the father. I was so shocked and confused… right now I don’t know what to do. It’s been 4 years the child is used to him and his family.

I did cheat on him with someone but we used a c*ndom, that’s why I didn’t think the other guy would be the father. I called the other guy to tell him the news he didn’t want to hear anything and said I should leave him alone. I want him to do a DNA test also but I don’t know how can I persue him into doing it. I regret all my actions and sorry for what happened

By Ameh Ejekwonyilo

A professor who was caught and later suspended for examination malpractices has made the short list of likely recipients of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) rank.

The rank is reserved for Nigerian lawyers who have distinguished themselves in legal practice, either in the advocacy or academic lines.

The integrity and reputation of the candidate is also a major factor for consideration for the award.

Benedicta Daudu, the dean of the Faculty of Law at the Taraba State University, was shortlisted alongside 68 other lawyers for the SAN award by the LPPC which is domiciled at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

PREMIUM TIMES had extensively reported on how authorities of the University of Jos (UNIJOS), Plateau State, suspended Ms Daudu for one academic session after she was caught “cheating” in a postgraduate course examination.

Ms Daudu, an associate professor of law and head of the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law of the Faculty of Law at UNIJOS, was caught cheating while taking an examination for a Master’s degree in Research and Public Policy in the Faculty of Social Sciences of the same university.

The development, after it was exposed by PREMIUM TIMES, earned her the sack from then President Muhammadu Buhari’s Presidential Committee Advisory Committee on Corruption (PACAC) in May 2016.

Confirming her exit from PACAC, the Executive Secretary of the body, Bolaji Owasanoye, a law professor and now chairman of Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, ICPC, had in a text message to this newspaper as then executive secretary of PACAC, said the committee discussed the allegation against Ms Daudu, and she “voluntarily” stepped down from the committee until the matter was resolved.

“The Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption has discussed the allegations
against Dr Benedicta Daudu based on information in the public domain and Dr Benedicta Daudu has voluntarily stepped down from the committee until the matter is officially concluded by the university,” Mr Owasanoye wrote.

Ms Daudu, who was an associate law professor, was working towards another master’s in Research and Public Policy when she was caught in the examination malpractice scandal.

The Department of Research and Public Policy accused her of smuggling in prepared answers during the examination for the Global Context in Public Policy course.

Sources said the matter was subsequently reported to the university’s examination committee but some students and faculty claimed there were attempts at cover-ups by the university authorities.

Efforts by the university management to sanction Ms Daudu based on her position as a lecturer failed owing to a legal action she instituted against the varsity.

However, the university in December 2016, suspended her while trying to properly investigate the issue.

But it was later learnt that Ms Daudu and the UNIJOS management reached a settlement agreement, where she resigned her appointment and was paid off.

She, from there, left for the Taraba State University, where she became a professor in 2019.

Fierce test ahead

Ms Daudu may face another bumpy ride in her bid to clinch the SAN rank as the second stage of the process of selecting the candidates offers the public an opportunity to send petitions about shortlisted candidates.

The Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Hajo Bello, in a statement Thursday announcing the shortlisted candidates for the awards, invited members of the public “to comment on the integrity, reputation and competence” of the shortlisted candidates.

During the interview that will come up in October, shortlisted candidates will be confronted with complaints about their suitability for the rank.

The first stage of selection of SANs from a pool of applicants was more about ensuring that each candidate met the basic requirements such as having the records of the required number of High Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court judgements.

The LPPC also conducts chamber inspections at the first stage of the selection process to ensure that candidates, especially lawyers working in private law firms, to ensure the law offices have the baseline facilities, libraries and financial records.

PREMIUM TIMES had reported that the LPPC, a body chaired by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) and established to give the prestigious rank to deserving lawyers annually is domiciled at the Supreme Court.

Ms Bello, the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, doubles as the secretary of the LPPC.

Some of the shortlisted candidates include Fumi Falana and Kayode Ajulo, both human rights lawyers; Emmanuel Enoidem, former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) legal adviser; and Agada Elachi, erstwhile chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Abuja branch.

There are 12 academics, including Ms Daudu on the list

Stray bullet k!lls 100-level UNIZIK student

A stray bullet f!red by some yet-to-be-identified hoodlums, suspected to be cultists, has k!lled a 100-level female student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State.

It was gathered that the incident happened late on Thursday, along the popular Miracle Junction in Ifite Awka.

Eyewitnesses in the area said the incident occurred as the hoodlums were chasing and aiming to shoot a yet-to-be-identified tricycle operator, but missed their target and one of the bullets hit the student who was walking by the roadside.

The deceased, identified simply as Uche, was said to be in the Medical Lab Department of the institution and was on her way to the market before the bullet hit her.

The source said, “This deceased was a 100-level student of the Faculty of Health Science, she was killed on Thursday evening by a stray bullet shot by suspected cultists who were chasing a tricycle operator at the popular Miracle Junction.

“The tricycle driver was shot too, and he pretended to be dead, but surprisingly, he stood up after a while and escaped when his atttackers had left thinking he was dead.”

The c0rpse of the deceased was said to have been deposited at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed the incident.

Ikenga said patrol and surveillance have been intensified in the area while calling on the eyewitnesses to come forward to furnish the police with relevant information to help the Command in its investigation.

He said, “It is very unfortunate, preliminary information revealed that the incident is cult-related and we are already working with eyewitnesses to identify the perpetrators and possibly arrest them.

“Meanwhile, police operational positioning has been improved within Awka and patrols intensified.

“The command would not relent in waging warr against cultiism and other forms of crimes in the state, recently we just remanded 33 suspects in a cult-related incident. We also urge the residents of the State to always alert the police (through the Command’s control room number: 07039194332).”

Ngozi Okonjo iweala and her husband....
A case of a woman who didn't dishonor the position of her husband in her life...

A case of a woman who regardless of her high ranking profile didn't fail in her core responsibilities as first a wife, mother and a career woman...

An ideal role model 👌. She remains a standing ovation while standing gallantly representing what a woman and more implies 👋👋👋👋...

This woman's story is incomplete without due recognition, appreciation and regards to her noble husband whose amazing understanding, and unflinching support no doubt can be considered one of her strongest arsenals.

A supportive man, who shares in your vision, supports your aspirations, emotionally, financially, mentally and physically is unequaled, unparalleled, unequivocal and unimaginably priceless....

A Win for one partner ought to be the WIN for both. It is therefore imperative for spouses to understand the greatness embedded in becoming each other's lift.

Many husband's no doubt have shortchanged the greatness that by default God deposited in their wives out of insensitive selfishness and unwarranted suppressive attitude.

Many women today have lost their glory because of fame. Many totally disconnect from their natural basic responsibilities to their husband's and children the moment they get their profile hyped..

They totally tend to divorce the core narratives of a woman's obligation to her home from the euphoria of the illusion power, fame and popularity offer them hence creating a cloud that deflates their supposed honourable remarkable recognition ....

A home front where oppression and suppression ain't served, submission totally acknowledged will no doubt experience fulfilling greatness...
In marriage let's be guided to be each other's leverage to a fulfilling life...
Not a source of failure
