The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics recently released their State Employment and Unemployment Summary for the month of July. The current unemployment rate for Mississippi (as of July 2024) sits at 2.7 percent, a slight fall of 0.1% from the previous reported month (June 2024). The national unemployment rate is 4.3 percent. Mississippi stands at a 1.6 percent decrease from the national unemployment rate.
