Arbor Day is a month away. How are you helping promote tree planting in your community? I'm once again proud to donate a tree to Fairport Harbor, Ohio. This year's planting will be in honor of firefighter Eric Strojnowki. We'll be planting a Temple of Bloom Heptacodium at the corner of Village Hall and the Fire Station. I know this selected native will bring joy to those who see it and enjoy its shade while remembering Eric.

The National Collegiate Landscape Competition by NALP is happening at Colorado State University this week. Just saw this trailer for a new movie premiering later this month on Prime titled Holland starring Nicole Kidman. It's a thriller about a wife living in the small midwestern town of Holland, Michigan who thinks her husband is living a double life. My most recent visit to Holland was last summer for the GardenComm Annual Conference. It was fun seeing scenes that included places we went visited. Can't wait to watch it!

I'm late to the game in planning my container garden for this year. I've been inspired to start and I'm begining with dwarf sunflowers.
