This past weekend, "Healing Hens" played at the Madison Film Festival and won the Grand Jury Award.

This film was created because of the wonderful and important work of Jodi Wilterdink, and Touching Hearts at Home Milwaukee, their ability to bring Chicken Therapy to seniors throughout the Wisconsin area has touched the lives of so many people.

Teal Shores Resident, Norma, one of the key subjects of this film recently passed away at age 92. Her joy and love of the chickens is something we will never forget. We are honored that we had the opportunity to share this piece of her story.

We are excited to share the official trailer for Healing Hens and announce that it has been selected to show at the Milwaukee Film Festival on Sunday, April 14th, 7PM at the Oriental Theatre MKE.

In early 2020, Jodi Wilterdink of Touching Hearts at Home Milwaukee, moved from the Chicagoland area to the Milwaukee suburbs right before COVID-19 hit. Relocating during a time when cultivating community was nearly impossible, Jodi decided to create her own community by raising baby chicks in her laundry room.

Healing Hens follows Jodi and her therapy chickens, sharing the story of how they have touched the lives of hundreds of Milwaukee area seniors.
