Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office Adds Second Degree Murder Charge To Driver in Car Crash that Killed One

Mount Clemens, MI - Diamond Glenn was originally charged with assaulting a police officer, a two year felony, after a vehicle crash that killed 69-year-old Christopher Andelean. But after the Warren Police Department finished their investigation the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office also charged Glenn with Second Degree Murder, an up to life felony, and Attempted Failure to Stop at the Scene of an Accident when at Fault, Resulting in Death, a five year felony.

On Saturday, December 21, 2024 Warren Police Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a Ford Escape and Chevy Silverado at Mound Rd. and Chicago Rd. Glenn was the driver of the Ford Escape and was allegedly responsible for the crash and under the influence of alcohol.

Today, Glenn was arraigned on the additional charges in 37th Warren District Court where District Court Judge District Court Judge Michael Chupa amended the bond from $100,000 to $500,000 cash/surety only. If bond is posted Glenn must wear a GPS tether. A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 8:45am.

"After a thorough investigation by the Warren Police Department, we have determined that second degree murder is the appropriate charge in this case. Our hearts go out to the family of the victim during this incredibly difficult time, and we are committed to ensuring that justice is served for their loss," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
