The weather was so beautiful today I got to work on some pre-spring garden tasks! My 5th attempt at cleaning up leaves from the fall. I removed the bamboo fence along the back of the cottage garden (because we're replacing it later) and the pup and cats enjoyed the weather with me. I also caught the cats in their cat house for the first time!!! 😻

Happy 40th birthday to me! I'm excited for this new decade of my life! Settled in my career, new investments happening, 7 kids in our fam all growing up, kids spouses and partners and a grandbaby! Not to toot my own horn but I feel like (other than my knees and back, lol) I'm aging like a fine wine! And I think a lot of that credit goes to my husband. I believe when you are loved truly, it inspires you to be your best and do your best. My husband has elevated my life, my happiness and made me feel at home and successful in everything I do! He lifts me up and believes in me and has my back in every wild idea I get! I wouldn't be near as happy or accomplished as much as I have in my career if it wasn't for the love from my amazing husband! 🙏✨️🥰 Let's go 2025!!!!👊 Unstoppable!!!! 👑

WEDNESDAY IN THE GARDEN
Enjoy the beauty of this Tibetan Cherry

Prunus serrulata is a small, round headed, deciduous tree ideal for small gardens or areas with limited space. It was introduced to this country from West China in the early 20th Century. The attractive polished bark provides winter interest and ensures it makes a stunning specimen plant.

In Spring, single, white flowers appear in clusters amongst the newly emerging foliage and are often followed by small fruit in autumn.

The leaves are dark green and narrow throughout the summer and turn yellow before falling in autumn.

The name 'serrulata' is from the Latin for 'little saw' referring to the small, sawlike serrated edges on this variety of Prunus.
