Hello Everyone, This is the Official club page for MEISA here at Lyndon State College. MEISA stands for Music & Entertainment Industry Student Association

Our Mission

-To provide a forum for students participating in music industry education programs to interact with educators and representatives of the Music Industry

-To advance the students’ knowledge, experience, and skills, in furtherance

of career goals in the Music Industry

-To participate and engage in programs and activities organized by MEIEA, i.e., conferences, seminars, workshops, and other activities that further students’ objectives

-To interact with students nationally and locally who are participating in Music Industry Education programs at other colleges and universities

-To acquire mentor-ship, career guidance and counseling by interacting with Music Industry Educators and representatives from the Music Industry. MEISA is a great opportunity for students to get to know other students and is a great way to get involved with other chapters throughout the Northeast. MEISA hopes to provide you with ample opportunities to meet professionals in these industries and Music Industry students at other schools, who will one day be your colleague, and to give you the opportunity to start becoming involved with the aspects of the Music and Entertainment Industries that interest you.

If you’ve been hoping for the chance to play Greggfest, this might be it! This year we are organizing a Battle of the Bands to determine our openers for Greggfest 2025. We are accepting applications from Vermont bands and VTSU student bands❄️

If you are interested, you will start to see these posters around the VTSU Lyndon campus and Lyndonville; you can scan the QR code to access the application or you can find the form in our linktree!

If you have any questions, please put them in the form!

We invite alumni, current student bands and local musicians to apply! More info to come after the application deadline!

And last, but certainly not least, meet our headliner for Oktoberfest 2024: Jesse Taylor Band!

Rock, pop, punk. . . we’re not really sure. Highly introspective, Jesse Taylor pours her heart out into her lyrics and music. Hailing from Maine, Jesse moved to Burlington in 2012 to later find out she’d pursue music— drawing inspiration from long days in various food service jobs and life with anxiety and depression. Taking notes from artists like Courtney Barnett and Regina Spektor, Taylor writes songs that mirror their passionate vocals and unapologetic style.

After performing as a solo artist for several years, Taylor formed the Jesse Taylor Band in 2017. Since 2019, Jesse has been joined by Nicholas Treis (lead guitar), and Ian Morris Greenman (bass), and as of 2022, Carlton Yost (drums). This formidable foursome has performed around the Northeast, sharing the stage with the likes of Aubrey Haddard and Jocelyn & Chris, among others.

Meet the first artist on theOktoberfest 2024 bill!

Seairra is a singer-songwriter from NH that strives to make and perform music that evokes emotion and leave you wanting more. She has 1 single released as of now but is in the works of releasing another 3 song-EP by the end of fall. She hopes you all enjoy the show and can jam your hearts out with her and her lovely accompanists.

Thank you to our wonderful executive board for putting on this year’s GreggFest! We couldn’t have pulled this off without the help of them and the rest of the club. This year was very special and we hope that future Greggfests will be just like this one.
