Marketing campaigns are often complex, with many moving parts.

To do them right you need a plan that defines your objectives and helps guide the way towards success.

I'm not gonna lie - this part can be tough because there's always something new coming out on social media or some other form of digital communication so how does one stay ahead?

The answer lies in establishing what exactly it is we want from our marketing efforts before deciding which tactics will bring us closer toward those goals as quickly, but politely as possible.

Get specific: think about who these people might include (i e target audience), where they hang out online/when?, etc...

Ok so look, the best marketing strategy for your company is the one that works WITH you. No matter what type of schedule, plan, or launch you have, it'll be worth implementing if it makes sense to grow business revenue the right way!

There are several types of marketing calendars but the most common are:

✅ Event-based - this type of calendar focuses on a particular event you want to promote. This is super helpful for organizing and planning big events like conferences and trades shows.

✅ Product-based- good for promoting new products or services

✅ Campaign-based- this is great for planning content across multiple channels to attract more of your targeted audience.

✅ Seasonal- created for holidays or seasons

Canva is a free online graphic design tool, targeted toward non-designers.

(Yes, that’s you!)

You can use it to make all kinds of stuff - flyers, web graphics, menus, Facebook/Tumblr/etc cover images, business cards, etc. You name it and they probably have a template for it.

Take a gander at the library of elements this app has to offer! You'll find templates for just about anything - websites, business cards and flyers.

There are some really amazing options in there if you're willing to dig through all that creativity- spilling out onto your screen like pure gold (or pixels).

My advice? Let the creativity flow and get the Pro account! It’s soo worth it!

My Account was hacked!

Okay so that was a little bit of clickbait, my account wasn’t hacked but it happens every day on these social media streets. The number of times I’ve witnessed a business owner fall to pieces because their account was hacked is wild.

LasstPass is a game-changer! 🙌 (It’s also FREE)

Not only does it let you store and share passwords securely with others, but it also generates hard-to-guess passwords to maximize Internet Security.

This is my go-to tool when working with Freelancers and entrepreneurs who need account access across various platforms. It’s also how I ensure my client’s information is safe and secure.

This is how I manage and organize my business.

Trello is the perfect tool for anyone looking to create their own unique project management system. (Yes! unicorns and sparkles all around lol)

You can choose from pre-made boards with cards representing tasks or other items, which gives you complete flexibility when it comes time to organize anything you want!

This is how I’ve set up some of my boards:

💎 Created a "My Work" list with enough projects to cover most of the work tasks I do on a daily basis
💎 For each project, I created a board that lists the cards for each task in the order I want them to appear.
💎 I have one board for personal work tasks, another one for client work tasks, and a third for year goals.

Another thing I love is that these boards are easily rearranged using drag-and-drop so it's super easy to reorder the list of cards by project or even change their orientation.
