SH-66 narrowed to one lane at Indian Meridian Rd. near Luther through July

East and westbound SH-66 is narrowed to one lane at Indian Meridian Rd. near Luther through July as part of ongoing work in the area. Traffic is being controlled by temporary traffic signals. Drivers should use extra caution in the area and expect delays.

SH-66 narrows in Edmond, Arcadia through 2025
SH-66 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane between Post Rd. in Edmond and Luther Rd. in Luther through summer 2025 for resurfacing and widening. Motorists should expect:
SH-66 to be narrowed to one lane in each direction between Post Rd. and Westminster Rd.
SH-66 to be intermittently narrowed to one lane between Anderson Rd. and Luther Rd. with a traffic signal and speed reductions.

SH-66 lanes are shifted to the south between Post Rd. and Westminster Rd. through fall

Exciting news for kids who love fishing! The Arcadia Lake Kids Fishing Derby is happening on June 8th at Spring Creek Park. This free event is open to kids aged 5-15 and will take place from 7:30am to Noon. Register from 7:30am and start fishing at 8:00am. Don't miss out on the final weigh-ins at 11:00am and prize distribution at Noon. Bring your own fishing gear, bait, sunscreen, and more! Concessions and worms will be available for purchase. Huge congratulations to Tyler Westermier, Lucas Weber, Evan Garrett, and Andrew Cavazos on being named the 2024 STATE FFA AGRICULTURE TECHNOLOGY AND MECHANICS CHAMPIONS!!!!!

This group will have the opportunity to represent Oklahoma FFA at the national contest in October.

Tyler Westermier was also named the second high individual in the entire contest!

Good work gentlemen!!!

Celebrating Clovis Cobb, Saturday (Noon - 3) at the Luther Community Center, 18120 Hogback.

A personal note, although I didn't know her personally, I feel like I knew her through the stories of her daughter, Valarie Cobb Braxton, when we worked together at Luther Town Hall. Hearing about the antics of Valarie and her EIGHT sibs when they moved to the country from the big city always brought great laughs and awe that Clovis and Robert, as parents, chose mud puddle stomping, wildflower picking, woods roaming, (chigger and tick fighting), marshmallow roasting, and camping for a new country life that they lovingly carved into a life unmatched out on their land. Clovis loved deeply and you could see it in her kids, grands, greatgrands, and the children of her heart. The other Cobb kids I know are John Robert Cobb who I admire deeply and Mark Cobb who makes me laugh.

Valarie, along with her daughter and niece (both about to graduate from high school!), and her parents took an epic trip to the Northwest a couple of years ago that included Seattle, the Grand Canyon, and some Route 66 stops. Valarie loved driving every mile and no doubt her parents were blessed immeasurably by the adventure.

Much love to the sprawling Cobb family, and all of those who loved Clovis. We'll see you Saturday.
