The University of Vermont men's soccer team has won the NCAA Division I national championship, 2-1, over Marshall University.

It is the Catamounts' first win in a national championship game in any sport. (UVM has won multiple national NCAA skiing titles.)

A late-game UVM goal tied the score at 1-1, and Vermont's Maximilian Kissell scored the winning goal in overtime.

Happy holidays from our whole team!

Our staff & board took a break from work to celebrate the holiday season together at Little Mexico Restaurant & Cantina. It was nice opportunity to spend time together in a non-work setting! We ate tacos, played trivia, & laughed.

Now HERE's a trivia question for you:
Can you name the 6 Towns that the station is officially designated to serve?

Our hearts are with the Schmidt family as we remember Ludlow legend Stew Schmidt, who passed away last week. His impacts on the community are widely known; you can read his full obituary here: vermontjournal.com/obituaries/stewart-a-schmidt-1936-2024/

It was always a joy to work with Stew when he was involved with a video project. He was most recently a featured presenter during the recording of “Old Time Stories” hour at the Black River Academy Museum, plus several others. See Ludlow Memories here: okemovalley.tv/ludlow-memories-july-2012
These programs serve as mementos of Stew’s legacy in Ludlow. He was one grand storyteller, among many other things.

About Us

Okemo Valley TV began as "LPCTV" began in 2001 as a Public, Educational, Government ("PEG") Access television station. The name was derived from the first letters of the 3 Towns that the station served -Ludlow, Plymouth, and Cavendish. Since that time, the organization has grown and evolved, both in terms of our mission and our reach. From our humble beginnings in the former home economics room in the Ludlow Elementary School building, we have grown into a vibrant community media organization, running 2 24/7 cable TV channels, this website (which is chock full of local video), a community calendar, and providing a variety of media-related services including free trainings & workshops, technical support and equipment to community members, organizations, and the local schools. We are now located in the Ludlow Community Center complex at 37C Main St.
