Thought for the day: 2 Kings 5:9-15
In 2nd Kings 5:9-15 we find the account of Naaman. Naaman was a great warrior and captain for Syria, and knowing this it would seem Naaman had everything he could ever want. However Naaman had a serious issue, Leprosy. Naaman had tried everything to cure his leprosy, but when he heard of a prophet in Israel he went to the king of Israel who sent him to Elisha. Elisha gives a simple instruction that would cure Naaman, just go wash in the Jordan river 7 times. Seems easy enough, but Naaman becomes angry expecting a great and theatrical healing. But in the end he does go to the Jordan and washes, and is healed. In short sometimes we are like Naaman, we want God to move but when he doesn’t move the way we expect we become upset. Today if God gives you instructions, even if they aren’t the way you’d choose to handle the situation, follow them to the letter because he has the solution to the issues you are facing!

Here John addresses his followers and tells them that he is not Christ but that Jesus is. And he says one of the simplest yet important words that we as Christians should strive for. So how much does the world see Jesus in us? Lord help us to be more like you and less like us.

Thought for the day: Matthew 14:17-20
In Matthew 14:17-20 we find an account of Jesus feeding 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, and we find that all 5,000 ate and were filled, and even had leftovers! To the disciples and the 5,000, 5 loaves and 2 fish didn’t seem like much but Jesus knew the potential. So today if Jesus ask you to do something no matter how small it may seem, do it knowing little is much in the hands of God!

In Matthew 16:13-16 Jesus asked his disciples who the world said he was, after their answer he made the question personal asking who do you say that I am? Peter’s answer was simple you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. So here is the question who do you say Jesus is?
