Hey fellow Texans keep an eye out to make sure your elected officials get these bills past

Since the 87th Legislative Session began last week, Texas legislators have filed three important pieces of legislation to help restore our right to keep and bear arms and to keep Texans safe. All three of these are priority legislation for Gun Owners of America.

SJR 24 by Senator Bob Hall: Constitutional Carry through Constitutional Amendment
This piece of legislation proposes to amend the Texas Constitution by adding that the Legislature “may not require a citizen of this state to obtain a license or permit to wear arms.” It would nullify the current statutory requirement to have an LTC to carry a handgun. In order to amend the Constitution, the House and the Senate must approve the language by a 2/3 majority, and Texas voters must approve a related ballot proposition by a majority vote in the following November election.

Senator Hall stated: "I am ready to advance the cause of liberty and protect the rights of Texans across the state."
HB 1238 by Representative Kyle Biedermann: Constitutional Carry
This bill would repeal the requirement to obtain a permit to carry a handgun, providing that anyone who is legally able to purchase a handgun (under Federal and state law) may carry it, open or concealed, without a permit, in the same places where a license holder can now carry a handgun. The exception is that no one can use this law to lawfully carry a handgun while committing any crime other than a Class C traffic misdemeanor.

Rep. Biedermann stated: "Self defense is a fundamental right of all humans and you should not have to rely on the government to access that right."
HB 1094 by Rep. Tom Oliverson: Domestic Violence Protection
This bill acknowledges that a piece of paper called a “protective order” is unable to keep a violent abuser from continuing to harm a victim – or even to take the victim’s life. It provides that anyone age 18 or older who is legally able to purchase a firearm and currently protected under a protective order (or similar restraining order) does not need to obtain a license in order to carry a handgun. It would exempt such people from “gun-free” zones listed in Texas Penal Code 46.03 and 46.035. Their family and household members (not including abusers named in the protective order) would be able to carry a handgun to protect themselves in the same manner.

Rep. Oliverson stated: “Victims of domestic violence should not have to wait for the State of Texas to send them a card in the mail to use their 2nd amendment rights to protect themselves from imminent harm.”

In addition to prioritizing the above bills, Gun Owners of America is also prioritizing the following pieces of legislation which were pre-filed, and which we have previously announced to you:
Federal Fi****ms Protection
HB 112 by Rep. Steve Toth; HB 635 by Rep. Matt Krause; HB 919 by Rep. Ben Leman – These bills prohibit state & local government entities from enforcing future Federal statutes, rules, orders, or regulations that regulate a firearm, accessory, or ammunition and that do not exist in state law. HB 112 also provides that individual officers or other personnel who violated this law could face a Class A misdemeanor. HB 635 includes all such Federal regulations, past and future.
“Made in Texas”
HB 915 by Rep. Matt Krause would declare that fi****ms and ammunition manufactured in Texas from Texas parts, and sold in Texas, are not subject to Federal regulations.
Suppressor Freedom
HB 957 by Rep. Tom Oliverson would declare that firearm suppressors manufactured in Texas from Texas parts, and sold in Texas (“Made in Texas” suppressors), are not subject to Federal regulations.
Anti-”Red Flag” Law
HB 336 by Rep. Briscoe Cain would keep Texas out of any Federal Red Flag scheme and would prohibit any entity in this state from enforcing a "Red Flag" gun confiscation law not enacted by our state legislature.
Curtail Emergency Powers
HB 26 by Rep. Valoree Swanson; HB 340 by Rep. Briscoe Cain – These bills would repeal the Governor’s powers to regulate or control the sale, transportation, and use of fi****ms and ammunition during a disaster declaration or state of emergency, while HJR 40 by Rep. James White proposes an amendment to the Texas Constitution to ensure that the Governor never has power to suspend or limit the sale or transportation or fi****ms.

🇺🇸 We have now been robbed of 6 months of our lives... that's 6 months we will never get back... we are systematically being stripped of our basic rights and freedoms... proof is emerging that we have been lied to and deceived by our elected (and non-elected) leaders...I believe it's time to exercise our right to say "No"
🇺🇸 I am concerned that people are being labelled conspiracy theorists, simply because they question certain government, corporate and industrial motives, or because they question the arbitrary laws that revoke our basic human rights.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to the Government making decisions about my health. They were elected to serve, not control me.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to the extreme censorship that is taking place on social media platforms toward doctors, scientists and activists, who present and uphold valid data that challenges the 'official narrative' the media would have us believe. This concerns me far more than the virus.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to the tracking and tracing of citizens.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to Government making decisions without a democratic process.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to Politicians, or any other individuals, who are compromised by having a lucrative 'financial interest' in the Pharmaceutical Industry, making decisions about my health and wellbeing.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to being told that all these decisions are for my own safety.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to censoring free speech under the guise of protecting me from the spread of misinformation.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to the closing of small businesses while multi-million dollar companies remain open.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to being labelled an 'anti-vaxxer', simply because I have concerns about MANDATORY, enforced vaccines or rushed procedures, without proper protocols - especially high risk ones, with limited testing that are deemed highly profitable to the most questionable of interests.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to the amount of division and hatred that is being encouraged between friends and families, simply for upholding opposing beliefs, or for speaking openly about what THEY believe. 💞
🇺🇸 I do not consent to the idea that pharmaceuticals and vaccines are the ONLY way to prevent or heal from illness... the outright dismissal of good nutrition and natural prevention and therapies is highly questionable from my perspective.
🇺🇸 I do not consent to the media only covering fraudulent and misleading 'case' counts, or grossly exaggerated death counts, when the survival rate is immensely higher. Fear cripples immunity, so why aren't we talking about the excellent (99.9%) recovery rates, successful treatments and therapies?
🇺🇸 I do not consent to the lack of care and consideration for 'non-Covid' patients, who have been denied access to essential treatments, consultations and surgeries for Cancer, Cardio-vascular and other life threatening conditions. Their lives matter too!!!
🇺🇸 I don't consent to 'House Arrests' and Lock Downs... staying home doesn’t protect against domestic violence, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, starvation and su***de; all of which are costing many more lives than the virus.
Here's what I DO consent to:
🇺🇸 Being a free and critical thinker.
🇺🇸 A parent, who is protecting the future of all children.
🇺🇸 An individual who cares about tomorrow... someone who understands the connection between the health of our planet and our own health
🇺🇸 A caring person, who will never stop fighting injustice and tyranny... or questioning and condemning the lies and manipulation of the Government and the Media.
🇺🇸 We all come into this world with nothing and we'll leave with nothing... the bit in the middle is called LIFE... life is a precious gift from our Maker... none of us know how long that gift will last, so make the most of every second, every minute and every hour of every day... live, love, take chances, not orders... be kind, be tolerant and be happy... don't waste another second waiting for things to change...

A friend sent this it sounds just about right.

What we are being told does not make any sense to me!!! So many unknowns going on in our world today! Praying for strength and truths to be revealed during this crazy time🙏

Has the media and many politicians used this terrible disease to cause division, distraction and panic? Of course. That does not mean that this is a disease to play with.

The Rules as of today:

1. Basically, you can't leave the house for any reason, but if you have to, then you can.

2. Masks are useless, but maybe you should wear one, it can save you, it is useless, but maybe it is mandatory as well.

3. Stores are closed, except those that are open.

4. You should not go to hospitals unless you have to go there. Same applies to doctors, you should only go there in case of emergency, provided you are not too sick.

5. This virus is deadly but still not too scary, except that sometimes it actually leads to a global disaster.

6. Gloves won't help, but they can still help.

7. Everyone needs to stay HOME, but it's important to GO OUT.

8. There is no shortage of groceries in the supermarket, but there are many things missing when you go there in the evening, but not in the morning.

9. The virus has no effect on children except those it affects.

10. Animals are not affected, but there is still a cat that tested positive in Belgium in February when no one had been tested, plus a few tigers here and there…

11. You will have many symptoms when you are sick, but you can also get sick without symptoms, have symptoms without being sick, or be contagious without having symptoms.

12. In order not to get sick, you have to eat well and exercise, but eat whatever you have on hand and it's better not to go out, well, but no…

13. It's better to get some fresh air, but you get looked at very shamefully when you get some fresh air, and most importantly, you don't go to parks or walk. But don’t sit down, except that you can do that now if you are old, but not for too long or if you are pregnant (but not too old).

14. You can't go to retirement homes, but you have to take care of the elderly and bring food and medication.

15. If you are sick, you can't go out, but you can go to the pharmacy.

16. You can get restaurant food delivered to the house, which may have been prepared by people who didn't wear masks or gloves. But you have to have your groceries decontaminated outside for 3 hours. Pizza too?

17. Every disturbing article or disturbing interview must start with " I don't want to trigger panic, but…"

18. You can't see your older mother or grandmother, but you can take a taxi and meet an older taxi driver.

19. You can walk around with a friend but not with your family if they don't live under the same roof.

20. You are safe if you maintain the appropriate social distance, but you can’t go out with friends or strangers at the safe social distance.

21. The virus remains active on different surfaces for two hours, no, four, no, six, no, we didn't say hours, maybe days? But it takes a damp environment. Oh no, not necessarily.

22. The virus stays in the air - well no, or yes, maybe, especially in a closed room. In one hour a sick person can infect ten, so if it falls, all our children were already infected at school before it was closed. But remember, if you stay at the recommended social distance, however in certain circumstances you should maintain a greater distance, which, studies show, the virus can travel further, maybe.

23. We count the number of deaths but we don't know how many people are infected as we have only tested so far those who were "almost dead" to find out if that's what they will die of

24. We have no treatment, except that there may be one that apparently is not dangerous unless you take too much (which is the case with all medications).

25. We should stay locked up until the virus disappears, but it will only disappear if we achieve collective immunity, so when it circulates… but we must no longer be locked up for that?

They are telling me the virus is everywhere.
I'm telling them so is my God. Can I get an Amen?
