Reminder that the annual community picnic Pantry in the Park is POSTPONED. However, they will still be taking food donations via drive thru and The NoCo Secret Samaritan free toy giveaway will be there as well. It will take place in the parking lot behind Soul Shine Botanica between 11-1pm today.

Just a reminder for anyone who hasn’t seen the updates…
Due to the wildfires, we are so sad to inform you that the community picnic portion of 6th Annual Pantry in the Park scheduled for today is POSTPONED.

Unfortunately, the air quality can affect our most vulnerable citizens and the safety and well-being of our community members are our top priorities.🔥🌲

However, our communities are in great need —especially now— so we will be continuing with our food drive. You can still donate non-perishable food items at our drive-thru location behind Soul Shine Botanica between 11 AM and 1 PM TODAY! All donations will go directly to the Food Bank for Larimer County to help many local organizations and families.🥫

Additionally, our FREE toy giveaway will proceed as planned as a drive thru handout.🎁

Please note that Duder Butt & Friends Lemonade stand, community picnic, face painting, DJ, and treasure hunt will be postponed due to air quality concerns.

We hope to proceed with the community picnic at the launch of The NoCo Secret Samaritan’s “Birthday Brigade” Party at Dwayne Webster Park on September 21st. Save the date!

With all the construction I keep seeing lanes backed up for miles with one lane not being used at all. It feels super weird and rude to utilize that lane until the end, but that is what you are SUPPOSED to do.

Well, the fire grew quite a bit overnight.🙁

Current size: 5,080 acres
Location: Big Thompson Canyon west of Loveland
Cause: Unknown
Impact: 3,200 properties evacuated; no injuries or burned homes

For everyone asking about Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch, they are in good shape for now!😅 The ranch is the meeting place for the firefighters and most horses are off property just in case they have to move quickly.

ALERT: There is a forest fire burning west of Loveland. Evacuations have been ordered and covers Drake to Dam Store along Highway 34, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Forest Service and Loveland Fire Rescue are currently responding.

PLEASE avoid the area of Highway 34, which is now closed in both directions, and nearby residents have been ordered to evacuate immediately.
