⭐🎾 Meet Alex, an 18-year-old tennis star and recent graduate of Christian Academy of Louisville! Alex, along with his parents Shaun and Sharon, older sister Lily, and brother Anthony, have called Lake Forest home for the past five years. Inspired by his brother’s successes, Alex has developed a passion for tennis and excels with his quick footwork and determination. He says, “I love being able to represent Christ in a good way through this sport when things don't go the way I want to.”
But Alex’s achievements don’t stop at the court. He’s a member of the Beta Club, HOSA, and an Eagle Scout at just 17! Alex looks up to his father as a role model and credits him for teaching him to keep a Christ-centered mindset. This fall, Alex is heading to Purdue University to study pre-medicine. Meet our July Precious Pet of The Month - Winnie! The Harned family found their 18-month-old Newfoundland, Winnie, through a breeder in Guthrie, Kentucky named Bourbon Water Newfoundlands. She was the last remaining pup from the litter. Winnie stands out because she is a unique color for a Newfoundland, being officially called "beige." That, with her light green eyes and fluffy white chest and socks makes her a beautiful dog. Her personality makes her even better, having never met a stranger and truly sweet-natured. Meet our June Precious Pet of The Month - Lulu!
The Harmon family adores their five-year-old Shorkie named Lulu, also known as Kitty, Whuu Whuu Da Boo Boo, or Turkey Butt! They stumbled upon Lulu at Sandy’s Pet Shop and instantly fell in love. The family was between the kids’ soccer games when Shellie Harmon’s husband, Brad, said, “Let’s go by Sandy’s and see what they have!” Shellie recalls their faces lit up “like the fourth of July!”
Lulu loves walks, car rides for pup cups, afternoon naps with momma, and when anyone comes over for whatever reason. The Harmons love her sweetness, personality, kisses, cuddles, seeing all her toys scattered throughout the house, and they even love when she gets sassy! Lulu enjoys a little bite of chicken every morning and for an afternoon snack, she enjoys her Wiggle Wow treats from Ms. Erica. Lulu can give kisses, give paw, sit up, and spin around.

⭐ Stopher Elementary (including many LF residents) recently answered the call to help Dare to Care stock it’s 67 community food pantries within JCPS with cereal. Stopher PTA decided to attempt to break the world record for the Longest Cereal Box Domino Chain with their donations. Stopher families and Kroger partnered and were able to collect 9,311 cereal boxes for Dare to Care! The dominoes were a lot of fun for all, especially seeing the excitement of the students as they fell! Jason and Martha Hudson’s son Ben (11) was interested in seeing the sites and museums in Washington, D.C. so the family took a four-day trip to visit the nation’s capital this spring break. While in D.C., the Hudsons did lots of sightseeing. They loved seeing the White House, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, and the war memorials. They visited some of the museums including the Aero Space, Natural History, American History, and Holocaust Museums. His registered name is Ghostdance Vader, but they call him Batman.
