“This is, hands-down, the best agriculture filmmaking I’ve ever seen. The characters are all so likable and captivating, the graphics are stunning, and I learned a ton about ecology… but none of that would matter without Peter Byck’s soul and empathy as storyteller.” Bill Weir, CNN

Our Q2 Gather & Grant was one for the books!

A big thank you to St. John Center, our Q1 grant recipient, for being such a gracious host. We enjoyed learning more about the impactful services they provide and were moved by the video of success stories that truly warmed our hearts. With the grant they received, St. John Center has already made strides—using the funds for essential supplies, including support for the newly opened Sheehan Landing. We are forever grateful for the dignity and care they offer to our community.

Congratulations to our Q2 grant recipient, Family & Children's Place!

A recurring theme in our Gather & Grant events is discovering the hidden challenges nonprofits face—needs that aren’t always visible from the outside. This quarter, we learned about the unexpectedly high cost of drivers’ insurance for staff who transport children to supervised visits, safe spaces, and other essential services.

The Q2 grant will help provide stipends to those serving in these critical roles, easing the staffing shortage and helping Family & Children’s Place continue its mission with excellence. The women of WICK are proud to play a part in meeting this need.

We’re already looking forward to our next Gather & Grant event in Q3, where we’ll tour the facilities at Family & Children’s Place!
