Rapper TakeOff Representative Speaks Out With Heartfelt Tribute Following His Passing, Reveals New Details
It’s been almost twenty-four hours since the passing of Takeoff, and more details surrounding the incident continue to be released. As many of you know, Takeoff’s life was taken around 2:45 am outside a bowling alley in Houston, TX. After reading initial reports, it seemed like Takeoff was the target. However, a representative for the late rapper is now speaking out and suggesting a stray bullet struck him.
Takeoff’s rep is speaking out hours following the passing of the rapper. In a post shared on Quality Control’s Instagram account, the representative states, “It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we mourn the loss of our beloved brother Kirsnick Khari Ball, known to the world as Takeoff.” As the message continued, the rep stated a stray bullet struck the rapper. In addition the representative ask fans to please respect his family and friends as everyone processes this monumental loss. Takeoff who’s real name is Kirsnick Khari Ball was only 28-years-old.
Houston’s police department has not received any leads to apprehend the responsible individual. However, earlier today, the department held a press conference encouraging anyone with information to come forward. The Police Chief believes someone knows who’s responsible for Takeoff’s passing but has yet to come forward. The department is very confident they will find the individual or individuals involved very soon.
Tributes have been pouring in for TakeOff throughout the day. Rapper Designer shared an extremely emotional video where he declared he was retiring from rap music following the news of Takeoff. Actor Lakeith Stanfield took this a bit father, saying, ‘If you are for gangster rap, you can’t also be for black.’ In his caption, the actor suggests gangster rap has people thinking it’s cool to hurt those that look like them and ONLY them. Stanfield then encourages people to make it cool to embrace life, travel, and learn new things.
Rapper Drake shared an image of him and Takeoff onstage performing. “Got the best memories of all of us seeing the world together and bringing light to every city we touch. That’s what I’ll focus on for now 😔 rest easy space man Take 🚀, the rapper shared. Quality Control’s CEO, Pierre’ P’ Thomas, has also spoken out regarding the tragic passing of his artist Takeoff. The CEO called Takeoff a ‘Young King’ who didn’t deserve to die at such a young age.
