My last time ever in the Lip Service factory 5 days after Drew Bernstein died. August 18, 2014. He was my idol. He started at 17 screen printing this skull and dagger onto leggings & founded the company at 21. Instead of continuing in others’ footsteps he had a lot of wild ideas and paved a new path for goths and punks. 90’s Lip service designs can’t be beat & he would get a kick of out seeing us young weirdos wearing his vintage. He was the heart and soul of the company until his death & never abandoned the flamboyant underground. He hired and mentored rockers and miscreants and gave us a home and a place to explore business in our own way. Losing him has been very painful for me and others who were fortunate enough to be close to him. I still watch suburbia just to see him. Working with reminds me of him & his spirit. I think he would have liked her and the things we make together. I’m missing him today & always. R.I.P. forever ⭐️

It’s crazy how I can’t even go to the beach now and swim and enjoy without thinking how when I’m 70 I’ll talk about how I used to swim for hours before the ocean was full of trash. It’s crazy how Notre Dam burned and billionaires and the masses donated to save it while our largest ecosystem, literally the LUNGS of our planet — the Amazon has been on FIRE for weeks and no one is doing anything because ( my guess is ) industry probably set it aflame to drill for oil once all the indigenous people have been displaced. Those of which just recently WON court cases to protect their land. Do you think previous generations had to deal with the stress of knowing our planet is crumbling or has greed just made everything worse in the most recent years ????? It’s hard to keep doing things but we have to combat the evils at large. Are your eyes open ?? 👀👀👀👀 wearing a new design made from thrifted fabric, I’m trying to not make anything new anymore. The world has enough stuff already 🤯
