Know somebody who bitches about most cocktails being “too sweet?”
Have a bottle of Aperol and want to try something besides an Aperol Spritz?
The Paper Plane is your answer.
.
What you need:
• Aperol
• bourbon
• amaro
• lemon juice
• ice
• shaker
• strainer
.
Preferred glassware: coupe
.
Step-by-step:
1. Grab your shaker tin.
2. Add ¾oz each of whiskey, amaro, Aperol, and fresh squeezed lemon juice.
3. Add ice to the tin.
4. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
5. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
6. Some people like to garnish with a cute little homemade paper plane, but I prefer to skip that step and get to the drinking.

In college, a few friends and I tried to do the "Lebowski Challenge." The rules are simple: drink a White Russian whenever The Dude drinks one. It starts off easy, but it is impossible from the middle onward. I do not recommend it -- it's a terrible idea and it will ruin your desire to have one for years. Making one this weekend, on the other hand? Fantastic idea. Cheers friends!
