When Love Bird was a chick, we didn't know what to do with her. She was constantly fighting to be at the top of the pecking order, and even pecked us when we tried to touch her or other chickens. (Her first name was "Bitch Chicken", which fit her perfectly at the time.) We were all about to give up on her, except for Mason. He gave her the time and love she needed for her to develop into the Love Bird she is today. Mason and Love Bird are best friends, she wakes him up in the mornings and greets him with a hug when he comes home from school.
