We’re thrilled to share that our work on the More Than MG campaign’s “Embracing Self-Care” series has been recognized with a silver Aster Award. This project brought together people living with myasthenia gravis (MG) with professional stylists to create a unique and heartfelt video series, inspiring and encouraging those affected by MG to make little changes that can have a big impact. So grateful to those who participated in this series and shared their stories with us. 💜

In 2023, we partnered with Agios to share the unique perspectives of a diverse group of people affected by pyruvate kinase (PK) deficiency. The “Diverse Experiences” campaign featured people at various stages of life, those who received diagnoses at different ages, people who have experienced the effects of PK deficiency at varying degrees of severity, and caregivers of individuals with PK deficiency. The More Than MG “Embracing Self-Care” series brought together people living with myasthenia gravis (MG) and partnered them with a professional hairstylist and a makeup artist. Each MG advocate shared their personal experiences with the stylists, detailing how their symptoms affect their daily routines as a person living with MG. Together, the advocates and stylists shared techniques and tools to help others within the MG community feel empowered and proud to be themselves—little things that can make a big impact.
