The University Library and the Pride Center joined together to put on an evening of Drag Queen Lotería last Thursday.
Attendees enjoyed the classic game of chance and performances from local drag queen Barbra Wyre.

CSUN Industry Night, the biannual career fair hosted by the Nazarian College of Business and Economics Career Education and Professional Development Center, was held Thursday, Sept. 26th from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Northridge Center.
Students were able to pass out their resumes and get experience pitching themselves to potential employers like Chic-fil-a, Disney and Enterprise.

Hosted by CSUN’s University Student Union, Cultural Welcomes is a week long event that embraces different cultures and communities.
On Sept. 17th, Bienvenida took place at the Chicane House Lawn, with live performances, food, activities and tabling from Latinx clubs on campus.
The last day of Cultural Welcomes is today for Native American Welcome.

CSUN Associated Students kicked off its first farmers market of the semester on Tuesday.
The market features a selection of various food options, goods, and fresh produce for patrons to choose from.
The farmers market will continue to be held every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. at the Matador Square.

The USU Veterans Resource Center held a 9/11 memorial event today at the Library Lawn from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Students were able to walk through the pathway and read signs with information about the attacks and the aftermath. Representatives from the U.S. Armed Forces also tabled at the event.

On Tuesday afternoon, CSUN CFA members rallied in front of the University Library to fight for better pay.
Students joined in solidarity with faculty members, who began their march at the University Library, walked across campus and ended at Valera Hall.

Hey Matadors, did you know CSUN had a football team? The Matadors played their first official game with a junior varsity team as part of the California Collegiate Athletic Association on Sept. 30, 1961. Later, they played their last home game at the North Campus Stadium on Nov. 3, 2001 beating Sacramento State. Matador football wouldn’t end until they played their last game at Portland State on Saturday Nov. 17, 2001.

Today, the CSU Board of Trustees has approved the multi-year tuition hike that will increase tuition by 6%. This came after students and faculty gathered to rally against the CSU tuition hike at the Cal State University Chancellor’s Office in Long Beach.
