What is foley?

Foley is the art of creating sound effects for movies and TV shows to make them sound more realistic. Foley artists use all kinds of objects and materials to replicate everyday sounds like footsteps, clothes rustling, doors creaking, and glass breaking. They do this in sync with the action on screen to make the audio feel natural and immersive.
