So excited! Today, I finally have enough Winter Greetings salad plates, acquired here and there, to set a big table! (We toast with cranberry juice.) Thought I would love them with red napkins, but I don’t. Maybe will try dark blue.

My collection of vintage butter pat dishes. I did not put this collection together, but instead found the collection and display piece at an estate sale. Often these sales take place after an owner has passed away. I like to think that the person who collected these would be pleased that they found a new home.

When I was a kid, an old man down the street owned a greenhouse. He repurposed wooden produce crates into little stacking drawer sets that he filled with nuts and bolts, etc. He gave them to my dad when he was very old and they’ve been in dad’s shop for 40+ years. I always thought they were really neat, and this year I finally finagled them away from him. I dusted them off, stacked them into a single cabinet, added a top, bottom, and feet, and filled them with art supplies. I’m obsessed!
