Discreetly launched in 2006 as a boutique label, Decoy Recordings has taken a nontraditional approach to releasing projects that share common elements, allowing for a cross-pollination of genres from electronic music, soundtracks and field recordings. Social Activism: Decoy Recordings is committed to helping social change by working with local and national organizations in the music industry, including the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) and nonprofit trade organization Music Portland, to help develop a better dialogue on relevant social issues.
