My wife was craving lengua de gato (Filipino butter cookie), so hereβs my first attempt at making it.
Lengua de gato tastes like a thin buttery short bread cookie. Itβs really nostalgic for us, since we both grew up eating it.
Even tho the shape, size, and thickness were a little off, it tasted exactly how we remembered it!
*Note: definitely using a piping bag next time π

I recently had Korean braised short rib for the first time.
The beef was tender, the radish added texture, and the broth was fragrant and sweet. The addition of the charred mozzarella added a light creamy smokiness that balanced all of the flavors for me.
It reminded me of beef pares, so I tried to incorporate all of the elements that I loved into a Filipino version.
