Merry Christmas! The end of the year did not pan out like I’d hope. Schedule changes and life changes took priority and I didn’t get to create the stories that I wanted to to finish off the year. My goal was to post consistently for a year but unfortunately life, at times, had other plans.

I was actually going to post one last story today but Santa brought most of my family the stomach flu. So as we recover at family’s and ring in the new year, I want to thank all of you for a really fun 2024 and thank especially those who submitted ideas and did so consistently each time. My posting schedule will change in the new year so I can realistically stay consistent. What that looks like, I’m not sure. Stay tuned! Wishing you and your families a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

It's story survey time!

Switching the dates up a bit to try and get a little more engagement so I'm doing this survey Today (Friday) through Sunday night, (11/3). Take some time and talk it over with your families!

As a reminder, here's how this will be conducted. This post and others on all other social channels will be available until Saturday June 15th at 11pm EST/10pm CST/8PM PST. At that time this survey will be closed! I'll only include those ideas submitted within that time.

Take this time to chat with your families about what they would like to see in a story - that structure is below. Leave the name(s) with a last initial of those you'd like the credit to go to. But please, ONE IDEA PER PERSON. If you comment here, don't comment on an Insta story or YouTube post, etc. I plan on doing this for a while so you'll have ample opportunities to share those additional ideas in the future. If you have multiple people in your family participating, make multiple comments.

Please keep the ideas PG. No adult themes - these won't be added to the selection randomizer. Keep the themes/plot concise. Make it only as long as you have to. You don't have to answer every topic. Only the hero? Only a location? That's fine! Fill out what you'd like. Copy and paste the options below in the comment section or via direct message.

Most importantly, have fun with it!! Asking these questions is going to be like opening a window into your child's mind. What are they thinking about? What are they in to? It's going to be a great conversation starter. Happy story telling!

It's story survey time!

Some interesting subject ideas were submitted and got picked last week (I'm looking at you, 7-Layer burrito from Taco Bell), so the story was both cute and a little goofy. But hey, that's why this is a fun experiment to do! What I think you can take away from this is that no suggestion is too silly or ridiculous. If anything, it may spice up the story! So take a few minutes to talk with your kids (or yourself) and submit your ideas!
