Today we are very excited to share Takuro Okada’s first release on Temporal Drift: “Reflections/Entering #2”, the first single from the forthcoming album The Near End, The Dark Night, The County Line.

is a Tokyo-based musician who’s made a name for himself over the past decade as a guitarist and producer in Japan’s indie and jazz scenes. His boundless approach effortlessly navigates between varied styles and arrives at the intersection somewhere between Americana, ambient, and free improv. Some of you may have seen him backing Yuma Abe on his recent U.S. tour (they’ll be back for more shows this year in December). Needless to say, we are thrilled to be working with him on his first release outside of Japan. Stay tuned for more details about the album.

This is the early leaked version; I recorded all the vocals at my spot in Echo Park… Doom later recut the vocals with a more relaxed tone at home for the released version…. Cool to hear both! Finally coming out now officially as an alternate.

In 2002, before and finished ‘Madvillainy’, the first demo sequence of the album leaked online – early vocal cuts from DOOM, recorded then quickly mixed in LA at Madlib’s Bomb Shelter studio. The leak spread around the world, and while the tracks may have been unfinished, it was clear that this was a hip-hop album unlike any other…

We’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of by releasing the Demos on vinyl for the first time, mastered by Dave Cooley () and with an insert of ’s contact sheets from the album cover shoot.

The new Audiophile Edition celebrates the finished record: re-cut at 45rpm and pressed on 180g vinyl. Housed in a gatefold jacket with lyrics printed on the inner, with premium quality rice paper inner sleeves.

Adrian asked if I could help find a lathe for him to cut 45RPM lacquers for vinyl production, so I linked him with the legendary who procured this ultra fine RCA example which is now permanently at studios. Super stoked for him, says it’s been a dream of his for ages. The most disciplined artist I know has now embraced, yet another discipline.

Via • In stores today! Assemblage’s “Album” has been remastered for its first vinyl pressing in over half a century, along with two previously unreleased bonus tracks. Originally released in 1971 on Westbound Records, Assemblage’s psychedelic rock and soul-laced debut would be their first and last album as a group, with members going on to join the likes of Three Dog Night and Bob Seger’s Silver Bullet Band.

The remastered album is available now on CD, standard black vinyl, “Sea Foam” color vinyl, and “Grape Crush” color vinyl (RSD Essentials exclusive). You can also find it wherever you stream or download music.

The day is here! We proudly announce Communicant’s new LP “Harbor Song” - to be released on July 5, 2024. This is the album cover and pre-order editions of LP and CD available on our Bandcamp now. We worked on this record for over 2 years to get it to be honest and just right, it’s my most personal album to date and my deepest effort. Seeing ‘s string arrangements come alive in the studio really made this record a tangible thing I can be really proud of. This is a record about self sabotage and forgiveness, about finding your way back to shore. It was a conscious effort to make something as lush and euphoric as possible while expressing those tough feelings for true catharsis. I really hope you enjoy it. - Dylan
