Worldwide people of all cultures, nationalities and faiths have viewed numerous You Tube videos about Katie as she struggled with the ravages of cancer – a disease that took her from her loved ones far too soon. These same people have been touched by her beauty, her serene smile - even in the face of physical disaster - yet inspired by her positive attitude and overwhelming sense of peace and constant love for those in her life as well as for her Christian faith. However, "Katie’s Story" is much more than her untimely death. It is how she led her life, by example, rather than the manner in which she died. Hers is an inspirational and triumphant story of unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior, of her love for her family and her high school sweetheart – and future husband - Nick. Many of you have seen the short clips of her struggle just to make it to her wedding day – certainly one of the happiest days of her life. Yet there is so much more to this wonderful girl – and that is what we will show with "Katie’s Story". Because "Katie's Story" is a faith-based film we are struggling, in a mainstream market, to raise the remaining funds that will enable us to complete production. We, therefore, are using unorthodox methods in asking our Christian communities, churches and organizations to assist us with fund raising on this tremendously compelling, inspirational and lovely film project. Aegis Faith Films is a division of Aegis Film Group in Los Angeles, California and is a non-profit organization (501c3 company). Together as a community of Christians we hope to be able to raise enough to bring this tragic, yet hopeful story, to the big screen. Katie's life exemplifies everything good in all of us and her faith in dealing with her impending death will strengthen your own. Katie's goal was to make others feel good, to bring them comfort and to feel her warmth. Although suffering greatly she never complained and always maintained a positive and nurturing attitude even during her most harrowing moments of chemotherapy – as the cancer spread throughout her tiny frame.
